Very good place for camping if your are above 65 years old ...
I will not recommend. Any one below that age to visit the place. Its basically old age camping village...
We were not even allowed to do camp fire besides our tent. They have dedicated fire area which is small and only one group can accommodate and that too it needs to be vacated by 10 pm.
Please its not atall dog friendly .... NO dedicated area for dogs to play... u have to tie and keep your dog at all the time. If your dog barks even for 1 min you will get a unfriendly oldie comming and barking at you. Some of the houses are occupied by residents they get mad at you if u walk dog near thier residence...
My dog got depressed because of continues tie and no place for playing we finally left place in 2 days
Residence living inside campus except all to go to bed by 9 pm....
basically its not place for vacation atelast with family and friends and ur dog.
Toilets are good clean and maintained, receptionist was very friendly...
Read moreI read all the reviews prior to coming here and the place exceeded those postive reviews by far.
I wasn’t a “caravan park person” prior to coming to Colonial Big 4 at Harrington and I’ve already re booked another holiday there in December.
I cannot compliment the cleanliness and practical outfittings of the cabins any higher. Anything I had thought to bring - they already had. The cabin we stayed in was perfect ( Cabin 12).
The cleaning staff should be complimented as well - the place was immaculate. Probably the cleanest accomodation i’ve stayed in - in my life. No exaggeration!
Finally thanks to Debra and Bonnie ( who we directly dealt with) - such friendly, considerate ladies. They made our week and stay the best holiday we have ever had. From the initial enquiries to the final checkout - this is what other places should strive for in customer service.
Thanks Big 4 Colonial Harrington! See you...
Read moreReally nice and clean holiday park! The place feels pretty new — both the cabins and facilities are in great condition. A lot of the park seems to be permanent sites, but near the entrance there are around 10–15 cabins for short stays, and the powered camping area is at the far west end.
The main amenities near the cabins are modern and spotless. The camp kitchen is big, super clean, and well equipped with two stoves, two BBQs, fridges, and even a vending machine. There’s also a small library next door, plus a games room and a swimming pool outside. Everything feels freshly built or recently renovated.
I think a few years ago this place wasn’t a BIG4 park yet, maybe it was taken over recently — but it’s definitely much nicer now. Overall, a great park with excellent facilities and a relaxed vibe. I’d happily stay here again next time we come...
