Great stay. Cabins are well maintained, clean and equipped with everything you need. Extra blankets, medium fridge& freezer, tv, Foxtel, player, iron and board, hairdryer, toaster and kettle, coffee and tea, cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, mop, some have a dishwasher (request it when you book), microwave and gas cooking top, no oven. On the fourth day you will get clean towels but you can request them earlier at reception. they are very accommodating and will also attend the cabin if you need it cleaned. I would recommend to bring your own shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. 2 pools for all ages. There's a no-noice policy within caravan park from 10pm till early morning. Laundry facilities separate. Cost $4 for a load of washing, $3 will get you 45 minutes from clothes dryer (change of coins and washing powder available at reception). Walk to lagoon for shallow bathing from behind the laundry building, break wall for fishing. Shops and groceries at the shopping village with IGA, butcher, bakery, pharmacy, bottlo, 5 minutes before you get to the caravan Park. Staff will give you a list of places where you can eat. Free WIFI is on and off. Make sure you have plenty of data of your own...
ย ย ย Read moreWithout doubt the WORST caravan park we have ever stayed in. To begin with we noticed that there were many vacant sites as we drove in which looked great until we realised that we had been jammed into a site (231) with vans all around us. Our first experience was of people in site 235 watching TV under their awning with the volume turned right up and blowing cigarette smoke our way the whole time. Then the permanents in 223 complained that our dog return barked at their dog after their dog started barking first. Then came the arrival of people to site 226 with a bunch of feral kids running around or on bikes well into the night. Then the people on 237 turned up and proceeded to take their slide on unit off their truck using rattle guns this took forever to be completed. Letโs not forget that the swimming pool 50 metres away with all the screaming kids. Then the next morning whilst eating breakfast we were treated to a view of the old lady in 223 walking around in a singlet and no bra ๐คฎ. No, it was a very unpleasant stay and very, very disappointing by the high standards we are used to in every other Discovery Park we have stayed in. โOh, the serenityโ did not happen...
ย ย ย Read moreNice facilities with 24 hour access. I'd recommend this place for families with kids, not so much for workers. Lots of kids running about, not really suitable for night workers trying to sleep during the day๐ท๐ซ (not their fault btw, they just aren't suited for it, its not their target market obviously)
PROS: โ 24 Hour Controlled Access. โ Friendly Staff. โ Good Kitchen with gas cooking and full size fridge. โ Hot shower. โ Lots of easy to access power points for charging, etc. โ Dedicated Parking for each room. โ Very comfortable bed with plenty of extra pillows. โ Cold Airconditioning. โ Dark Blinds. โ Suitable for people traveling with their kids.
CONS: โ Busy complex during the day, lots of kids running around, being kids (pretty noisy) - Wont suit people trying to sleep during the day. โ Toilet had a sewerage smell to it if you run the exhaust fan at all. โ Shower is actually a spa bath, can be difficult to stand in and take a shower with no non-slip surface. โ LOTS of ants in the kitchen. Constantly spraying the counter and surrounds with bug spray to keep them at bay. โ Counter tops were super sticky. No matter how much you wipe them down, they stay...
