Burdekin Motor Inn — Hotel in Home Hill

Recently changed ownership (so those old reviews aren't the same as today) and they have a special deal every night of the week. Monday - Kids Eat Free Tuesday - Pizza & Pasta Wednesday - $5 Dessert Thursday - $25 Ribs & Rump Friday - Pizza & Pasta Saturday - Buffet Night They also have $20-$25 14 different types of Chicken Parmigianas to choose from every night of the week now due to popular demand (and my absolute favourite option). It's very clean and the workers are nice. Everyone is spaced out for COVID so that's good too. It took quite a long time to get our food though (45 minutes) but thankfully we had good company! But still a bit long considering there weren't many people there at the time. We always have parmi's. They are absolutely the best! The staff were extra nice and allowed us to add veggies instead of salad which is normally not offered to anyone apparently. So we were pleased with that. And generous portions. We had room No. 6 it was nice,tidy & clean place for 1 night for 2 Adults & 2 kid's we had clean towels that were folded neatly we all had good sleep on a comfy bed with the comfort of watching Netflix. Made a nice coffee in the morning used my own bottled water that is just me. Shower was nice aircon work's brilliant as long as you keep the bathroom door closed and the front door. We notify the reception we would arriving late & the nice lady put the aircon on for us which was nice & cold when we arrived. The is three menu's for for restaurants but we didn't use them. Pack some insect repellent as there's a lot of little bug's but remember you are in the middle of nowhere and given how hot it get's they tend to hand around but they didn't affect us just kept the doors closed and put mossy spray on. 10/10...

I don't usually write reviews but like writing them when i'm especially happy with a business. ||||After turning up at this motel with no booking and after office hours (I was unable to find another place in Ayr that was open and accepting visitors!!) the managers were very welcoming and happy for me to take room. They charged me the same rate as I had seen on online sites, rather than taking advantage of my situation. Most importantly for a budget motel the room was extremely clean, well maintained, and cosy.
