EDIT: The "owner" has responded below to my review. I really hope it isn't actually the owner, (maybe the 15yo work experience kid), as it is a highly unprofessional response. I tried to give constructive feedback so the park could be improved. I mentioned the positives of the park. I am highly offended by the "Helicopter mum" poem and this will be shared with many on all platforms possible. The photos of the pool do not lie. I am an easy going person who has never written a negative review before. I do agree the check in process wasn't a major negative, however, information and recommendations provided in the cabin would have been helpful. I spoke with others staying in the park who agreed with everything else I have mentioned in the review- actually a lot of them had many more issues but I will let them write their own review. Oh and I did see 4 people attempt to swim in the pool - 2 were from my family and they lasted about 5 minutes. I don't feel I need to say more as as people will read the review, see the photos and read the response from the owner and can make their minds up themselves. Stayed Labour Day weekend 2023. Did not have any interaction with a staff member for the entire time. Keys were in the door of cabin when we arrived with check in instructions emailed. No folder inside cabin with welcome, rules, recommendations etc which was strange as we have been provided one at every other park we have stayed at. Park felt a bit negelcted - pool was gross- dirty and no idea if chlorine and PH levels tested regularly- and we couldn't swim in it which was really disapointing for the kids (see photos). Cabin was clean and had everything we needed except a hand towel and dish rack. It was nice sitting out on the deck. Location is about 5kms out of town. It is on a busy road but not too much noise at night time. I think the park just felt impersonal and would be improved with a staff member onsite and filtering and cleaning of the pool. I know the park was recently sold and the new owners had no hesitations in contacting me regularly for more money when they took over but then were non-existant during our stay. We paid $768 for the weekend so I guess I at least expected a pool we could swim in. I did look for a staff member to ask about the pool but there was none- I assume they are at other park that they own. If we paid half what we did then it would have been worth it but at the price we paid I know there are much nicer places to stay.

Bright Accomodation Park's management and staff were an absolute delight. Very helpful, friendly and hard working! The park is clean and tidy, and well looked after. There is a playground for the kids, and room to ride theor bikes around. The pool was also a family favourite for many of the people staying. Lot's of fun and laughing was happening at the pool. I had originally booked a powered site for 3 nights, but had to change to a cabin (I was not able to take my van on this trip in the end). So I booked the dorm style cabin and paid the difference from my original booking, but had to reduce the nights to 2. (Because of costs). They were very accommodating and great communication with prompt email replies etc. Suggestions: I would have liked a mirror in the room somewhere,, even just a small round one. There was a full length in the bathroom facility downstairs, but would have been handy to have a mirror in the room too. I do have to admit though, I think $120 a night was a bit expensive for what it was. BUT, it is a nice and safe park. The room was a-bit bright at night for my liking, from the corridor light coming in from the doors edges and gap underneath. Comfortable bed and pillows. And stoked there was an air-con, as it was quite hot on our first day in Bright. (A flyscreen on the window would have been handy, I couldn't keep the window open because of bugs and misquotes). The stairs leading up to the dorm cabins could do with some backings underneath, like a sturdy chicken wire or something. They are quite steep and my son tripped walking up at one point, and he could have so easily gone between the steps and fallen down. It was a scary moment in time; but he caught his feet, luckily, and didn't go up or down without holding onto the rail after that. (His 6). We had a lovely few days in Bright! And I will definitely stay here again, I'll be sure to bring the caravan as originally planned next time though. This park has an epic space for campers and caravans! Thanks for having us.

I stayed here for two nights over the recent long weekend. Location is well out of town, just near turn-off to Tawonga Gap, and right next to main road, so lots of traffic noise. Park appears to be unstaffed, check-in was just by email saying ā€œThis is your site.ā€ No shop or office on-site, no shops within walking distance. Officially supposed to be quiet time after 10pm, but Both nights there was loud music keeping me awake past midnight, and no staff around to police it. Facilities are very basic, only one camp kitchen next to toilet block with power points and sink, other two closer to me were just picnic table and BBQ, no power. Toilet block was basically functional but pretty disgusting, showers didn’t even have anywhere to put your clothes to keep them off the wet floor. Trying to think of something nice to say… there are lots of lovely trees here, the park is at least nice and green and shady. Having previously stayed at all 3 camp grounds in town itself, all of which are much MUCH nicer, I’d definitely recommend NOT staying here if you can help it. Unfortunately I made a last-minute decision to come up this weekend, and the other 3 were all full. Definitely not coming back here.

Upon arrival, we were shocked by the (poor) condition of the park. The negative reviews are warranted and increasing - the park seems on a downward trajectory. ||When we tried to set up our tent, we couldn’t get any pegs into the ground—even with heavy-duty equipment. We called the phone number for help (there is no-one on site!) and they seemed surprised by our difficulty, which is baffling given the recent reviews that mention the same thing. The park’s response to one of those was that the customer booked last minute, stating if they booked earlier they would have got a ā€œpremium siteā€. We booked a year in advance and still had an unusable site. |They offered us other non-en-suite sites, but testing other nearby sites we still couldn’t get our pegs into the ground. They denied a refund despite the fact that we couldn’t use the site they booked us into (or any other nearby site). ||The couple next door faced the similar issue and left early because they found the inability to set up their caravan annex, and the condition of the amenities, unacceptable. ||The park claims to be cheaper than other places. We paid $540 for an en-suite site for 6 nights outside school holidays. There are much better, more affordable options in nicer locations. ||We - thankfully - found another park in town at the last minute during the busy Buffalo Stampede weekend. It was a lot better and cheaper! Winning!! We enjoyed our holiday (thanks to moving to the other park) and will never return to BAP. If you’re planning to camp in Bright, I strongly recommend booking elsewhere (I will post my other experience separately for where I think is a good option). The reviews of BAP - and more importantly, the park’s defensive response to any criticism - speak...
