Bright Mystic Valley — Hotel in Hume

We booked Unit 1 for 5 nights but stayed for 11 because we both tested positive for COVID whilst we were there. Ros and Brendan were able to rearrange another booking and allowed us to stay for the additional days and even gave us a discount for the extra days. We were so grateful for their generosity, their advice about local medical care, and how they even offered to do shopping for us. Their support while we were isolating and so far from home was outstanding. We were also so thankful that we could stay in such lovely accommodation whilst isolating rather than being stuck in a hotel room. From our unit we could go outside and walk around part of the large, peaceful gardens without having to worry about infecting anybody. The facilities were superb, very clean and warm in mid winter. We ate in all the time and the kitchen had all the necessary items to do this and the full sized fridge came in handy for all the food we needed to store. We enjoyed watching the resident kookaburras, the king parrots, the fairy wrens and other birds that lived in the garden. We also were grateful that the place had access to Netflix! We can give nothing but high marks for this place – we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is great, just a couple of kms out of the center of Bright in a very quiet and peaceful residential area. Great access from there to the mountain biking trails if that is what you’re interested in. The grounds are very nice with plenty of shade trees, grassy lawns, and a beautiful little swimming pool. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Brendon, and shown around the unit, one of several attached motel-style units. We had a 1-bedroom apartment which was spacious, clean, and well organized. The kitchen was complete and functional and we cooked up a few meals there. The bathroom was huge and contained a clothes washing machine which really came in handy for washing all our biking garb. The bed and furnishings were all very comfortable and we had a very relaxing stay. The AC and internet TV both worked great and the Wifi connection was fast and reliable. Excellent attention to detail in the room with stunning interiors that complement the nature of the environment. Artwork and furniture are beautifully selected. Peaceful and quiet with a spacious bathroom that makes you feel like you're in a natural springs resort. The TV moves from the lounge room with one neat swivel to the bedroom. Comfortable bed with high end linen. Luxury with a lovely kitchenette that provides everything you would require to cook most meals. The gardens are stunning, and the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. Excellent location set away from the busy shopping precinct.
