Great time with the family and friends. Stunning campsite. Lovely, friendly owner and dog friendly. We loved the shallow stream, it was beautiful. As were the beautiful trees that were remnants of a previous tree farm. The campsite itself was perfect for our camper trailer and tent. Best surface we've ever had at a campsite and so clean! Close to some awesome wineries. Just so many! I wished we stayed longer to explore more. This has definitely been one of my favourite locations on HipCamp. I'm not sure whats with the negative reviews here, it's pretty obvious it's private property. Damon the host is super friendly. He gave us lots of space, popped by on the last morning which was great to have a quick chat and learn a bit about our location. Plus the kids loved the Kelpies! :) It's not far from the main road (still super quiet). There are some old cars on the property but it never bothered us - kids loved looking at the old tractor and added to the rusticness of the place. We booked easily through HipCamp. it was the weekend away to recharge that we really needed. Thank you for having us on your beautiful property :)

Great campground booked on HipCamp. Owners were lovely and friendly and showed us around to several sites to pick from when we first arrived and noticed that we had young kids so suggested a site next to the river where it was a safe entry and not to deep, which we appreciated. We spent most the days relaxing in the King River and floating down it. Sites where clean and well managed plus close to so many great places like Paradise Falls, Powers Lookout and Lake William Hovell not to forgot wineries down the road. We were self sufficient in our van but our friends were able to rent a portaloo which was managed by the owners. Lots of friendly dogs running around too. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will be back! Highly recommend paying the small fee for a private and relaxing site vs “Bourke St” Edi Cutting free camping down the road which was cramped and full over the holiday period.

Had an amazing Labour Day Long weekend. Weather was 30° for the 3 days Sunny clear skies during day but copped the remains of Cyclone Alfred had 15ml overnight Sunday. The Hosts Jeremy & Damo are 2 of the most laidback fellows Ive met and keep the property clean mowed cleared of debris. The King River runs past along the entire northern boundary with amazing swimming spots with easy access into the water. Campsites are large and spacious with about 50 metres distance to the next site Privacy is excellent. Plenty of site seeing opportunities and The King River Brewery was my favourite. Big shout out to the ladies at Chestnut Post Office/Hamburgers Fish Chip Shop. Amazing burgers I had 1 with the lot and the best hot chips around

My son typed 'free camping' into google maps and this camp was flagged so he went there thinking it was a free camp .... naturally. There was no sign saying Private campsites, and no indication that the campsites had to be paid for. The owner drove speedily towards him, verbally abused and intimidated my peace-loving son , didn't listen to his side of the story, and aggressively chased him off the property. Please, Mr. Owner, do yourself a favour and add some signage to your driveways. There's a reason people keep entering innocently. Signage! or check this other gate you insist people are wrongly entering and add a sign to that gate, too. You should contact Google maps and ask them to unflag your property as a free camp. It's very unkind of you to upset innocent people so much. Just wrong. I don't understand why you wouldn't make some positive changes to save yourself the constant wear and tear on your...
