If I could post a negative amount of stars I'd go for -5.
We had an absolutely disgusting experience with Natalie and Adam back in March and would not recommend anyone booking online with these people. After making our booking online and not seeing a confirmation after a few days, I emailed them to confirm our booking, but didn't receive a response. After a few more days trying to email and call them, I had to book somewhere else as I had no idea whether our booking had even been received, let alone confirmed.
Long story short, we were traveling to our alternative accommodation and through we had better drop in to ensure our booking hadn't been confirmed and we had been charged without knowing. When we arrived, the office was closed but a room of to the side was occupied by a very young couple, and they started trying to help us out (it seemed they might have been friends of Natalie and Adam) and gave us a number to call.
We called Natalie and Adam and after 10 minutes or so they showed up and told us we had be booked in. We queried the whole confirmation and told them we hadn't received anything, eventually having to book somewhere else. They told us that "This is Fraser Island, emails don't come through so quickly all of the time". It had been at least 4 days and we received nothing back.
We tried very hard to reason with them but they refused to refund our money. At one stage Adam piped up and said "You're going to stay here and you're going to enjoy it!" (Adam, you are lucky my 3 year old was standing right beside me at that stage).
After gong back and forth with emails for weeks, we presented enough evidence that they had no choice but to refund our money.
Just on the customer service we received alone, I would highly recommend staying somewhere else. We ended up staying at Sailfish and could not have been happier with the service we received. Yidney Rocks is also a great...
Read moreWe stayed at Fraser Island Beach Houses for a week. Online booking was easy and communication was good. We stayed in one of the beach houses and the view was awesome. Not to mention the sea breezes. Pool facilities were great for the adults and kids. Location is great as you can walk into Eurong village for general store and bakery. The beach house itself was a great size, with 3 generous sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house had all mod cons, oven, fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer, microwave all in great condition and working order. Décor was beachy and styled nicely, lounge, dining table, outdoor dining provided comfort after long days exploring. Was in desperate need of dusting though. Linen and bath towels were all provided, clean, white and great condition. Bathrooms were clean and useable. Unfortunately the house itself is in need of some TLC. Quite dusty, curtains and blinds were dusty, dirty, rusty and mouldy. External sliding screen doors fell off tracks several times and some did not lock due to rust and missing fixtures. The front screen door did not lock and had to be closed carefully as it could be pushed open with little force, quite concerning with small children and steps leading to carpark. One ceiling fan was not working in a bedroom and smoke detector had been removed completely from house (only bracket remained) I did raise my concerns with the onsite manager at checkout, she was open to feedback but did not seem overly concerned and dismissed it a little, as Island living.... All in all it was a lovely location and with some dedicated maintenance it would be...
Read moreWe have stayed at this accommodation on several occasions, although not for a few years.||As my sister and husband were coming from Melbourne they requested to go to Fraser Island. We chose to book at Fraser Island Beach Houses. We live in Maroochydore so we did the booking and paid the deposit of $350. Several days before they were to visit Melbourne went into lock down and they were unable to fly to Queensland.||I contacted Fraser Island Beach Houses and was told that because we lived in Maroochydore and we did the booking there was nothing they would do for us. We would have been happy to defer the booking but the only advise that we were given is that we may as well come up ourselves and enjoy the weekend. We have been to Fraser Island many times and we were only going this time to take our Victorian visitors. This was all explained to the manager. She expected us to visit and pay another $300 for 2 of us for 2 nights.||This was definitely a Covid related situation and we have been booked on all sorts of trips which have been cancelled due to Covid and received refunds on everything except this.||I feel that we were very unfairly dealt with and I am writing this so other travelers know that if they pay a deposit at this establishment no matter what happens you will not get a refund or...
