Waddy Point top camp is fantastic. Great facilities: $2 (3 minute) coin operated hot showers, camp kitchen for washing up with hot water, amenities are always clean and the Rangers are friendly and helpful. Taps are close to every site so water is not a long walk. Access tracks to beach are great to walk on and there's lots to explore. Deffinately recommend the walk to Waddy Point headland and over to the Eastern Beaches, it's trully fantastic. Watch for whales in August/September, you won't be disappointed. Sand Monitors are the only animal within the fenced site that wander around, and Butcher Birds, Friar Birds and Blue Faced Honey-eaters, Kookaburras and Frogmouths are around too. Most sites have their own fire ring and timber picnic table, and are fairly level and clear. All-round an excellent spot for any sized group and kids too.

Waddy Point campground is one of the best camp sites on the Eastern side of Fraser, and at $6 a night each great value. It's fairly easily accessible by 4x4, India Heads now has tracks put in, and the tracks were in good condition while were were here. There is a ranger station here, although it was closed - think he was out and about a lot of the time. The facilities are excellent - toilets and showers are really clean. They take $2 coins and are $2 for 3 mins. There is free hot water for washing dishes outside the toilet block. The site is close to the beach, you can walk or drive, with fishing and wash outs the kids can swim in. The sand dunes give the kids hours of fun. Plenty to explore in this part of Fraser. Five stars.

Amazing place to be at sunrise or sunset (as I was)! Try he view goes for the champagne pools all the way to the great sandy cape in the north. Also seems to be a great spot for fishing. There are a few remembrance plates of people “gone fishing”.

This is one of the best places in Australia for a young family to visit and let their children swim in the protected salt and sea water. Waddy point protects the beach from southeasterly's which prevail in this area. The odd dingo or two will be seen wandering through the area looking for scraps and as long as you keep an eye on your children, the place is safe. We stayed at Orchid blue accommodation whilst there and it helped to have a hot shower and warm bed to go back to after spending the day...
