🙌 @ecopiaretreat no better way to reset. Off grid, eco luxury accommodation on Australia's third largest island! Some things you may not know about Kangaroo Island: 1) A lot of fresh produce is grown here, we realised this thanks to Yael the owner providing local bread, wines, dips, body products and more! 2) Native wildlife thrives on this island. There's kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, possums, sea lions, so many birds and more! We saw the most wildlife at Ecopia Retreat 🙌 3) The island is huge so you need to stay around 4 - 5 days, and you must have a car. 4) 59,000 stock and animals were lost over 6 weeks during a huge bushfire here in 2019/20. Half the island was burned. The recovery has been incredible. Could barely notice it during our visit. What an incredible place! Thanks to locals like Robbie and Yael passionately caring for the environment and creating eco luxury accommodation like this. If you've been watching our stories you will have seen we had English family coming to stay. After a bad night's sleep in the back of the car. This was a much needed escape for us all. We're very grateful thank you!
