How lovely to arrive in Tasmania and enjoy the country serenity of Bundaleera! Enormous picture windows showcase spectacular views of the vineyards, pastures and animals.
I use a walker so accessibility is vital. The modern, Magpie 2-bedroom cottage (in which we stayed) is on one level and has a walk-in shower. It is stylishly furnished with all modcons. Parking is easy and flat.
The beds are very comfortable, as are the sittingroom chairs and settee. There are TVs in both bedrooms and the sittingroom. A wonderful array of high quality, non-fiction, interesting books was provided – don’t miss the chance to view them!
The provision of fresh milk was very welcome – most places just give you a tiny carton of longlife milk. The cottage has a decent size fridge/freezer and great non-stick Scanpans and utensils.
We hit a cold, rainy spell but didn’t feel the chill due to ample heating and warm bedding.
John welcomed us shortly after our arrival. A critical bolt for my walker was lost in transit from Perth and he immediately offered to find another one in his shed. Emily (John’s daughter) is a delight to speak to and very accommodating.
Where else would you stay when visiting the Launceston area and surrounds? I would certainly look no further than Bundaleera!
Launceston City Centre is about 12 minutes drive away. East Coast Car Rentals gave us a great price for a Corolla hybrid Norwood IGA is a short distance away.

Read moreMy partner and I went to Bundaleera Vineyard, we called John, he was busy with his trees but told us we could drop by and he would make time for us.
The property is beautiful, and the view from the tasting area is absolutely spectacular. John told us he came out of retirement and bought this property 5 years ago, learning everything needed for his craftsmanship with his wife and daughter, helped by other in the wine industry.
Such a warm welcome and even better hospitality showed from John.
We tried the wine, the all vintage available in his tasting shed, from his Sparkling, through his Riesling, Chardonnay all the way to his Pinot.
The Pinot vintage 2022 is wonderful, just the right acidity, soft tanin, rond, and a decent length in mouth. I would highly recommend anyone that get the chance to drop by to grab some before their is no more!

Read moreWe stayed at Bundaleera Vineyard for a few nights as part of our trip to Tasmania. We had three magic days with Emily, Eilin and John, who took good care of us in their little family-run Vineyard and Accommodation. We stayed in a two-bedroom cottage with a kitchen and living room and with the most beautiful view over the wine fields. Everything was at a very high standard and well looked after, so we immediately felt at home. We furthermore were encouraged to use John's grill and also the fire pit that was standing next to our cottage. Of course, we also had to taste the wines before, during and after the official wine tasting. The Pinot Noir was probably our favourite. If we ever come to Tasmania again, we will visit Bundaleera Vineyard and, for sure, spend more time there. It is a special place. Thanks...
