During our recent trip to Tasmania in Feb, we had the pleasure of staying at the holiday park, left us with a mixed but generally positive impression, we'd rate it around 4 out of 5 stars. We found that the two-bedrooms cabin is a perfect solution, in our case, for two couples traveling together. The living area, with basic cooking setup, is spacious enough for 4 to cook and dine. There were also sofa and dinning table plus chairs for easy sitting around and leisurely chit-chatting, and the fridge was a plus too. The rooms were alright, nothing too fancy, but they had what we needed like bedding and towels all being provided.
There were some downsides too, like the shower space being bit tight and lighting in the living area being not bright, even worse, the shower head was dripping after being turned-off and making noise that could be heard during the night from one of the bedrooms that is next to it. The WIFI was OK, we did not stay long enough to use other facilities in the park.
Location-wise, it was not as convenient as you stay in the town, and not close to the airport, about 20 minutes of driving from the airport from south to north of the city. It should not be an issue anyway If you travel by car.
Money-wise, it was definitely budget friendly, that was one of reasons we choose to stay there.
Overall, it was a decent stay, might...
Read moreWe booked a deluxe cabin however on arrival we were told it was no longer available and was given no reason why. Instead we were offered a 2 bedroom cabin at what they said was a reduced rate. On entering the cabin reduced rate also resulted in reduced quality of cabin.
Bedding looked and felt like they were from the mid 1990's. Towels weren't much better and I think wiping myself with sandpaper would have been more plesent.
Carpet was threadbare, at least 5 cracks in the walls, kitchen perspex splashback was pealing off behind the stove from the heat and let's not even mention the mattress lumps, bumps and general poor condition
Went to have dinner and had to wash all of the plates and cutlery as they had leftover food, dryed and crusty still on them.
Booked and paid for 3 nights, stayed for 2 nights which is 2 more nights than we should have stayed.
1 STAR is generous but Google doesn't accept no stars or negative...
Read moreService with a smile - they can't do enough to accommodate your needs. We recently stayed here during a quick trip to Launceston. We required two separate beds and room for two dogs. The service from the very first phone call was A1 - so welcoming, polite and accommodating. We stayed in a 2 bed cabin. Looks like it had received a recent refurb with everything in top notch condition and ever so clean. We had a lovely little garden area out the front of our cabin (handy for fur baby midnight wees) and very handy/close car parking. It's a quick 10 minutes from the city centre so very convenient and very conveniently priced. Will definitely stay again when we're up that way next. Would particularly recommend if you're travelling with (*well...
