The hotel shows up in searches for Byron Bay accommodation but is actually in Lismore...the flood capitol of Australia! We stayed here 1 night as it was available even though we booked last minute in Christmas holidays. The hotel is about an hour's drive from Byron Bay and about 30 mins from Ballina. Other reviewers have provided photos of rooms which are accurate for the conditions. It's good for as a place to sleep for 1 night, although it was still very very expensive at around $400 for a family of 4. (By comparison, our other accommodations in Sydney Newcastle and Coffs Harbour were all priced between 250-300 and all booked last minute) One important advice: The doors lock when closed so you must always take the keys with you. We nearly accidentally locked ourselves out within 1 minute of checking in! The car spaces are indeed very wide which helps when loading/unloading the car as you can leave all doors open and not worry about hitting the car parked next to you. The curtains in the room are adequate in blocking the outside light. The wall mounted AC worked well to keep the room cool. The soap/shampoo amenities in the shower cabin were all empty. All in all a bit dated but ok place to crash for a night and move on to the coast.

Motel is just on the outskirt of town. Nice and clean room which is a decent size. Comfy firm queen bed and bath/shower in bathroom. Sliding glass door to the back towards the lake with a nice breeze. Good block out curtains. Extra wide car park spaces so no worries about getting a door opened on your car. Friendly service at check in.

A lovely little quiet spot, with friendly staff on site. The rooms were nice and clean as well as a good size for two people or a small family. The only down side is it's location is a little out of town but the piece and quiet make up for that.

We arrived in Lismore after an absence of many years. Not knowing what had happened with the expansion of the City we consulted TA and found the lakeside listed. A drive past confirmed it was a nice place. We drove up and were greeted by Operator and welcomed us to this slightly dated location. It is on a busy highway but convenient and out of town. We were lucky enough to get one of the last available room at the far end of the property. No problems, plenty of parking and quite a large room, bed was comfortable and the bathroom looked as if it has been recently updated. After a long day driving we went into town for a meal (disappointing choice) but after a shower we hit the sack - the bed was a double which we are not used to but we slept well. My wife does not remember hearing the traffic passing outside but it is noticeable - The room as clean and view "out the back" towards the lake area relaxing. Breakfast in the room was delivered on time and hot, good size portions and very...
