Lovedale Cottages — Hotel in Lovedale

My partner and I visited lovedale cottages for her birthday for a 2 night weekend stopover. We had a lovely time. It is my 4th visit to the cottages and it was how I remembered. On arrival you are greeted with a key in the door and a fire lit and warming the cottage for you. Also a breakfast hamper was supplied and in the fridge ready to cook up bacon, eggs, toast, juice and other necessities. We had been out for lunch and just looking forward to relaxing for our 2 night stay, enjoying the open fire and spa bath, watching the olympics on tv and playing a board game or 2. On our second day we played tennis and golf (there is a small golf course on the property) which was a bit of fun. There is a heated pool also but we opted not to bother with that considering we had our own spa bath in the cabin. The only thing that let us down was that it was freezing at night and the fire was warming but unfortunately it just didn't keep us as warm as we had hoped and think maybe the cottage lacks a bit in insulating. Ended up extending our stay as we loved staying at loveday cottages , Rosie and Paul are just awesome and gave us all the privacy and were very responsive if we called for anything , we were greeted with an awesome breakfast hamper , fully equipped kitchen, bbq, very comfortable to eat inside or out in the porch , large table inside and out, wonderful spas in 2 bathrooms, the beds were just so comfortable, very impressed how everything was so clean , no bugs nothing in the cabin , beautiful land just relaxed in the porch overlooking the rustic picturesque scene, indoor pool so clean and wonderful temperature, tennis court , golf, walks are lovely, basically had to be pushed to go out as I was happy to stay there all the time , DVD player with DVD”s , wifi not strong but used hotspot and had no issues, enjoyed having the kids off their phones for a while !!!!recommendations to restaurants were amazing loved Lillino’s Bar and Trattoria , just a wonderful place to be if you love a rustic yet very comfortable accomodation , quite peaceful surroundings , and just awesome hosts...

Our stay at Lovedale Cottages was beyond perfect and made for an unforgettable first wedding anniversary. 🥰 From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and coziness of our cottage. It was impeccably clean, private, and had every comfort we could ask for, providing a true home-away-from-home experience. The natural setting near the national park added a magical touch, making us feel completely immersed in nature while still enjoying all the modern amenities.

Paul and Rosie, who run the cottages, were absolutely wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless, from providing delicious breakfast options to offering help with the indoor pool. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed, and the beautiful spa was the perfect touch for a relaxing evening.
