I was heading to Gippsland for a few days and thought as it was a long weekend that I would stay overnight on the outskirts of the city. Emerald is a startlingly beautiful suburb... it is lush and green, invitingly so. ||||I located this Bed & Breakfast online and thought I would book there. I am never quite comfortable with B&B's because it feels like I am invading a strangers space, but I have been to some exceptional ones...so I thought it would be worth another shot. ||||The lady owner responded in a timely manner and she is exceptionally polite. I arrived late in the afternoon and she greeted me on the driveway. Again, for me this feels like I am staying with a stranger. There was also a delightful kookaburra there to greet me ... more than one of these gorgeous kingfishers make regular visits to the home. ||||The driveway into this location is quite steep, so you have to be comfortable with the unusual entry. The home is welcoming and inviting in an old-fashioned landed-gentry way. The small touches throughout the home are quite exquisite. You do share a bathroom with the homeowner, but she works around you. All products supplied for your use are quality. ||||The view from the deck outside is breathtaking and if it had been warm, it would have been a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the sunset. The location is about five minutes drive from the eateries in town. Breakfast was supplied.|| ||There are pros and cons to weigh up.... pros being an amazing location, a lovely home, a sense of serenity... cons being shared with a lady who enjoys a chat, a cat ( depending on your perspective these could be a pros), parking is a wee bit tight.|| ||All in all... it's a stunning location. There are two choices here, you can share the house with the owner, or use the unit under the house. If I was to return, I would choose the later because I...

We literally had nowhere to sleep and had to drive 1.5 hours after the wedding to a family member. I understand mistakes can be made but I spoke to the owner the DAY BEFORE TO CONFIRM! Appalling! Really ruined what was meant to be a...
