Oscar's on the Yarra — Hotel in Melbourne

The food was fine and probably a 4/5 however the overall experience was pretty average. Firstly we booked over a week in advance however when we got there we were placed on the worst table and told we could not move yet the restaurant was never full and when we left the tables we prefered were still unoccupied. I was also unimpressed by the limited menu that only had 1 vegetarian option of mixed veggie. Prior to booking i checked out the menu and was impressed so was quite disappointed when there was only 4 mains available on the night....

I stayed a night whilst riding the Lilydale to Warburton rail trail. This is a great place, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. My room was a single room with a big ensuite, very clean and tastefully furnished, and with a verandah and a nice garden outlook. Superb well maintained grounds and right on the river. Dinner on the deck at Oscars ticks all of the boxes for us.
