We have stayed at Robyn’s Nest for a fortnight every year for nearly twenty years. Until this year, we would have given it five stars. Under the new management, the place is going rapidly downhill and we won’t be returning. The place is stunning, but our stay was not up to par. For example:||We stayed for a fortnight. When we asked for clean sheets and towels we were told they would see if they could fit us in, as if it was an imposition. I repeat, we stayed for a fortnight. In the past, sheets and towels were changed every two days, along with excellent housekeeping. Not this time. ||The sheets and towels themselves were dingy and tired and need replacing. The whole place needs a lick of paint.||We had to supply our own soap, dishwashing powder, rubbish bags, soap powder and toilet paper. WE HAD TO SUPPLY OUR OWN TOILET PAPER IN A SO-CALLED LUXURY RESORT. GET REAL!!!!!||The curtains were hanging off their hooks. Also very grubby. Need replacing. ||They asked us to put out our rubbish every day. We tried to, but when we arrived the bin was already full and it was only collected once during our stay so we had to keep it inside. In hot weather. At a five star resort||They have removed the BBQs. OK, this might have been an OH&S issue, but we received no notice, and had been looking forward to BBQs on the deck. Also, the microwave was broken, which put another dent in our cooking opportunities. They know it was broken too, as there was a sign up. But they hadn’t bothered to fix it.||We wish the new management every success, but they really need to think about whether what they offer actually meets the expectations of a five...

We believe that he meets the Michelin Star criteria for quality of product, mastery of flavor and cooking techniques, with a humble, yet confident and friendly personality that is represented in the dining experience. The icing on the cake is that it is great value for...
Read moreWhat a delightful find! It's quirky and a little chintzy, but the lakeside location and tranquillity are unbeatable. It's an ideal place to unwind, enjoy the stunning views and beautiful bird song and to throw in a line off the private jetty. It's a quick drive into town and nearby Sunny's on the lake is a lovely spot for breakfast. We stayed in the guesthouse and the room was comfortable and quiet, with a huge deck and great views of the lake. We stayed 2 nights and could have stayed a few more. Only (small) drawback was the onsite restaurant: the set menu 3-course dinner ($58) was disappointing and did not deliver. The food looked and tasted pre-prepared and not freshly cooked, and as a result was not good value for money. With plenty of good places to eat in town, I would skip the...
