I too have been twice and stayed in both a chalet with my husband and a lodge with my daughter and grandson. I concur with the reviews just below mine. So not to repeat. wanted to add that Joy and Simon most welcoming and will point out things to do in the local area, they are also the epitome of ecofriendly. Along with the wildlife you are also welcome to visit their chickens and guinea pigs which we did often. All the feed is provided in your chalet/lodge for feeding possums, kangaroos, bandicoots and birds. I might add that we also had a very friendly bob tail that loved strawberries and a squirrel that stole a small portion of pizza. (no, we didn't intend that). We did however come prepared with lots of fruit and veg knowing that that would entice the locals quicker. Oh and the sofa pulls out to be a bed so we can all curl up Infront of the window and watch the night life with a blanket.

Animals were the highlight. The cabin was well designed with both bedrooms and living area overlooking the bush. Spa was fantastic. Property well looked after. We loved our daily visits by the friendly roos and possums. There was plenty of reading material and it was a pleasure to sit in front of a roaring fire each night. Loved reading everyone's comments in the journal and artwork. Hubby had to add his drawings and I wrote our thoughts. Thanks to our hosts for a brilliant stay! We will be back and also spread the word.

An absolutely fantastic stay! We stayed 3 nights here with our 2 children, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by a flock of kangaroos- some with Joeys in their pouch. In the evening friendly possums and bandicoots come for a visit. The facilities are very thoughtful and you’re made to feel right at home. The kids LOVED it, we wish we booked for longer and we will definitely come back if we plan another journey in the area.

I really don’t want to write this, because if I do, more people will visit this piece of Paradise. We have been visiting Yelverton since about 2005 and it is always perfect.|It’s about 20 minutes south of Busselton on the Busselton - Margaret River road, so it’s close to all the tourist type attractions that both places have to offer, BUT and it’s a huge BUT, it is located in a big patch of bush (I think it’s about 100 acres). In that area, there are five chalets. Nothing else, just the 5 chalets. They are far apart and surrounded by bush, so if you are in one of them, it’s almost impossible to see another. It’s quiet. So quiet. So peaceful.|The chalets are extremely well fitted out with all modern appliances. On a cold night, you have a wood fire or reverse cycle air con. On a hot day you have the really cool a/c. On ANY day or night, you have your own private spa to soak in and sip champagne with your loved one.|So if you want a holiday that combines the sun, surf, wine, cheese, chocolate, restaurants, forestry and all the other magic that is the Busselton / Margaret River region, as well as a whole heap of the peace and quiet of nature at its purest, you cannot beat Yelverton Brook.|Yelverton is quite simply the best there is.||Note that you will need to bring a big bunch of carrots, apples and bananas with you. Every morning and evening the local mob of kangaroos will visit and expect to be fed. You hand feed them, even the joeys.|Once the Roos have been fed, put some birdseed in the bird feeder and watch all the different birds dive in. Loads of them. So many varieties.|If you have a barbecue in the evening, you will have bandicoots, possums and woileys running around your feet. |Yelverton is fenced by a really extensive ‘Predator Fence’ to keep all non-native animals like cats and dogs and rabbits and foxes, so native species thrive.|There are walking trails throughout the bush as well, so you can gently walk off a hangover, or just take a stroll with no urgency.|Another really big thing for me is that the curtains are full and heavy. This means that when they are drawn at night, your room is dark and it stays that way until you wake up and open them. There are no chinks of light creeping through to wake you.||If you have children with you, they will need to remember that the Roos are semi wild still and need to be respected. They will let you stroke them, but you will need to be careful. Apart from that, I think children will enjoy the time they are spending with Mum & Dad who are free from any other distractions. You can have real quality time just being a family.|Yes there is HD TV if you want it. There is a good phone signal. I don’t know if they have their own internet because we always bring our own internet dongle. If you need to, you can always hotspot off your phone.| |Seriously folks, this place is awesome.|I cannot recommend it highly enough.|I am an international airline pilot who has seen an awful lot of the world.|Yelverton Brook is in the top 4 of my favourite places...

Fabulous getaway

Nothing feels more like getting away than being one with nature and that’s certainly how it feels at the Yelverton Eco Chalets and Sanctuary. I brought my grandmother down for her 88th birthday to enjoy the country. Upon arriving at our chalet we poured ourselves a glass of wine and enjoyed watching the birds come to visit on our patio, mostly 28’s. Time flew by as we chatted and enjoyed the scenery, it wasn’t long before we were greeted by the Kangaroos bounding through the bush. We had 7, 3 mamma’s with joey’s and one on it’s own. They must have been quite comfortable as they stayed around our patio for a good 3 hours before wondering off. We watched them the entire time, until about 7PM. They also returned in the morning around 7AM. It has been a wonderful experience, the owners are very welcoming and friendly. The homemade organic bread is delicious and bought warm to your door. There is homemade jams, milk, butter and juice provided along with cereals tea and coffee. They really do cater for everything. The accommodation is not the 5 star accommodation you may expect in the city, it’s homely with a rustic cottage feel, old appliances and lots of floral. We were in the Jarrah chalet which is located closer to the road which you can hear – that would be my only “complaint” if I had one but to be honest it is not a particularly busy road. The whole experience was unforgettable, something I will cherish with my grandmother for years to come. Despite only being 2 nights it felt like we had been winding down for a week. On another note, it’s super close to the wineries and breweries smack bang in between Busselton and Margaret River, everything is on your doorstep. We popped out to Cheeky Monkey for lunch and brought a pizza back for our evening meal. I’d highly recommend this experience to couples, small families or granddaughters and...

We have known Joy & Simon of Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat & Conservation Santuary for just over 18 months now. We operate Mr Mustang Hire a chauffeured Mustang service in nearby Margaret River. On several occasions since meeting we have had the privilege of taking their guests on private wine tours and lunch transfers of the region. Joy & Simon has worked tirelessly over some 20 + years attaining the highest level of eco-certification providing secluded private chalets with outdoor hot tub spas on the patios, set amongst a 100 acre predator free conservaton bush land setting. The chalets nestled within the wildlife sanctuary give guests the opportunity to detach from the world and reconnect with nature. On Australia Day 2020 we took three guests staying at Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat & Consveration Sacntuary (Peppermint Chalet) from Singapore on a private wine and they didnt stop raving about the kanagroos and woylies that come to feed each evening on the lawn. We even had the opportunity to be greeted upon returning the guests that evening. Such a wonderful experience to get up close and personal with nature. We are personally really invested in eco-friendly practices and the 'green' ethos at Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat is outstanding. If you are passionate about the environment and are looking for a eco-energy efficient retreat (toxin free as possible) nestled in a beautiful natural setting then Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat is definitely worth a visit. We loook forward to visiting again and working closely with passionate owners Joy & Simon. Kind regards Karen & Vince Civello (Mr...
