We first sent our kids to Swan Valley Adventure Centre in 2022 during the school holidays and they absolutely loved it. We paid the Early Bird Registration $821 per person for 4 nights. Yes, it’s not cheap, but it gave our two kids an unforgettable experience. They went two years in a row, and every time they came home happy, smiling, full of excitement, and always talking about the new friends they’d made. There’s so much to do there. The centre runs a School Holiday Program with over 20 outdoor activities like flying fox, archery, high ropes, raft building, canoeing, bush craft, and more. It’s very well organised and safe, with experienced instructors helping the kids enjoy every moment while learning new skills. Yes, the food and accommodation aren’t five star hotel quality, they are simple, but our kids were perfectly fine with that. The most important thing is that they had so much fun and made lots of friends. That’s what camp is all about. Back in 2022 they built a new pool area, so I’m hopeful it’s now open for campers to enjoy even more. The whole site spans 89 acres of beautiful Swan Valley wilderness, just minutes from Perth. Yes, it’s a serious investment but for us, it’s always been worth it. Highly recommend Swan Valley Adventure Centre for any family wanting a real adventure experience for...
Read moreLook, it was fine, the activities were fun, food was really good, but the dorms. They were like hospitals, Very cold and uninviting and the wallpaper is old 1960’s yellow hospital wallpaper with those thin hospital walls and curtains for most of the rooms. Me and my group of friends were getting teased during most of the activities and the instructors didn’t do much to stop them other than “Stop” or “Just ignore them”, except for ‘Ash’, she was really nice and defended us and also a very good instructor, she got the instructions over really quickly but seemed to get the kids to understand everything, but overall staff are really nice and inviting. And dont come when it’s hot because it’s awful and you end up stinking after 15 minutes. Also Matilda Young, the desserts are not mush, we had Cookies and Cream mousse the first night which was delicious, and then Pavlova the next night, (i personally dont like pavlova because it makes me feel sick after 2 bites, but the first two bites were good) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT COME HERE WHEN HOT, YOU WILL REGRET IT. AND YOU GUYS NEED RENOVATIONS ON THE DOORMS, MAKE THEM...
Read moreI have been to this place 4 times now and slept over 3 times - do not mistake this for a positive thing I have to go with my schools. The food that is served is ok, however the deserts are just mush. The people who work there are nice and social. On two occasions I have been here the rooms have not been prepared in time for arrival and when we actually get in there the place is still a joke. The bathrooms are the most disgusting things ever - wear shoes. There are bug throughout the rooms that keep landing on hour faces making it impossible to sleep. Would avoid going there in hot weather not much shade outside or aircon. Despite all of this the place is still very nice and the activities...
