Milford Country Cottages | Scenic Rim Cottages — Hotel in Milford

We had such a lovely stay at Milford Country Cottages on the weekend. The Bottletree Cottage is so well appointed and beautifully decorated, not to mention sparkling clean. It has an indoor fireplace for the cool nights, plus a split system air conditioner for those warmer nights making it perfect to stay in year round.

Our hosts Lyn and John couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble, and they were kind enough to light the outdoor fire place so we could roast marshmallows (we forgot to make the damper though!). Our 9yo niece came with us for the 3 nights, and she loved feeding the horse, cows and chickens. We also loved their dogs Peggy and Minnie!

Lyn is happy to recommend some great places to visit around Boonah/The Scenic Rim, so we did some exploring of the area as well. All in all an amazing long weekend away, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We had a lovely few days in the Bottle Tree Cottage. We came to do walks in the Main Range National Park, about 30-40 minutes up the road. We certainly managed that but really enjoyed the time at the cottage. The birdlife is copious and we had the binoculars and bird app out nearly as much as we did at the national park! The cottage is very comfortable with lots of interesting odds and ends to enhances your stay. The kitchen is well equipped and having a laundry is just great. Chatting with the owners was lovely as well, a warm welcome and a happy chat at the end about the plants and animals on the property but no shortage of privacy either. My family and I recently had a blissful few days away in Boonah and stayed at Milford Country Cottages. The acreage property - surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside - is the perfect haven for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature. The rustic cottages are a stone's throw from Boonah, a thriving country town and a foodie's Mecca. Owners John and Lyn were incredibly welcoming and shared lots of helpful local info with us - including pointing us to a fantastic coffee shop which sells the world's tastiest lemon meringue pie. Yum! My kids can't wait to return and neither can I. See you soon...
