Bright on the Murray — Hotel in Moama

A weekend organised by my Victorian family to gather the clan together from England and Australia in this exquisite and historic NSW location.||||Comfortable and cosy with wood burner to welcome us in the heart of the Australian winter and a well equipped kitchen making for a perfect setting for our historic gathering. ||||The river is a stone' throw and the wildlife; birds and marsupials are not shy. I cannot recommend Bright on the Murray more highly! Di met us at the gate and provided a detailed orientation to the property. We were so impressed with how clean the house was. It looked beautiful. The outdoor area is simply breathtaking and each bedroom was beautifully decorated. The smallest of details had been taken care of including a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, fresh flowers in every room and to top it off, a freshly baked lemon pie!!! We just had a lovely few days' winter break at Bright on the Murray in Moama. What a charming old homestead! It was very cold when we were but we spent the evenings in the cozy and warm main living area where we enjoyed, good food, wine, conversation and laughter around the table with good friends. On one of the days we caught the Canberra paddle steamer down the Murray to Morrison's Winery for a delicious lunch. Our host, Di and Neil, couldn't have been more welcoming, hospitable and helpful.
