Over priced for an unpowered site ($120 per night for holiday period) so we were hoping atleast the amenities would make up for that. We were wrong! NOT WORTH STAYING
The showers are either freezing cold or scorching hot, never a comfortable temperature.
Cell phone signal is spotty and the wifi they provide doesnt reach far.
Most fun amenities close when the reception closes at 8pm, but for some reason they decided to close at 7pm everynight the busiest night of the year, NYE. This means that you cannot swim, play pool, tennis or table tennis when they're closed.
In order to play tennis you have to kick all of the kids off of their basketball game bc they share the same court.
You have to book the hot tub/spa in order to use it, and you only get 25min to be in there at a time.. so basically after 5 days we never were able to use it.
Its jammed packed with small spots and has alot of longterm spots in the center of the park.
It's about 15 minutes out of town and when we booked we were told that there are courtesy shuttles to certain place from the BIG4 into town. But upon check in we found out that that is not the case, that SOME of the places intown will use there own car to pick us up from big4 BUT Only if it's a large enough group to make it worth while for them. So AGAIN another amenity we were sold but cannot use.
Such a waste of hype and excitement left right and center with this place.
the one positive we had from our stay were the 2 days we got to do Free Yoga outside in he grass (must bring...
Read moreWe arrived to cabin F2 hoping for a comfortable stay instead Our kitchen had a stale wet dog stench coming from the crevices and fridge but the source was unknown. We spoke to the office staff and nothing was done except offered a thorough clean by their cleaners.
we later realised it was a dog and smoking friendly cabin not because of any signage because of the smell and the cigarette burns in the sheets and lounge, all this was shrugged off by the office staff as they advised "this must've been the people in the room before you, they must have been pigs" then heavy rain happened at the cabin and it leaked through.. you would think that they would come up with a solution to help us with their problem instead they sent the groundskeeper to give us old used dirty towels that have been previously used by other visitors and put them on the ground to soak up the rainwater that was leaking in the cabin. They did however say that they were going to clean the cabin in which they did by just picking up the wet soil towels and not even changing the bedsheets. How did I know they didn't change the sheets? Well the same cigarette burn I found from the first night was still there.
Other than that the actual grounds is kid friendly and a lovely place to stay if you BYO...

I've booked this place because I have always been staying happily at Big4 parks over the years. The good : Great location, friendly staff, and some good fun for families. The Bad: The park has two parts, the left-hand side is pet allowed and the right is not allowed. Generally, I feel the pet-free zone is greater maintained than the other one. The Ugly: Unfortunately, I found my booking on the left-hand side, where people with their dogs were. Not to mention it was the most expensive unpowered side I have ever booked (280 for three nightsI have never seen a big4 park at this standard, with only one kitchen for almost a hundred campers and so did the washing room. Overall facilities are very old and barely maintained. In the kitchen, nothing was provided except the cooktop, fridge, and washing liquid. I tried to borrow it from the office but had no luck finding any. There were people around us constantly smoking and you can smell the marijuana in the air. Not to mention that people are peeing about 20m away from where we sleep because the toilet is too far away. I feel so sorry for my young children who have to experience this.
Conclusion : To be called a Big4 brand, this park needs to seriously think about the...
