The camp-site itself was great. The scenery here is quiet lovely with a beautiful mountain range in the background It's the terrable condition of the road leading to campsite that I feel, is a let down, for me at least I doubt the roads been graded for years. It seems counsel does not care about the roads that dont create revenue via tourisim. Do not use this road if you have an older camper van like mine or if you suffer motion sicknessn . It was an absolute nightmare getting here and everything shook including me...from panic. I did not think my vehicle would make it.

Great camp ground. Really good facilities for a free camp. Several drop toilets all with toilet paper and locking doors as well as bucket fillable showers with doors! Different sections to choose from, done with more shaded areas than others. Camp area F has a spot on the left hand side which opens onto the bush area, so we parked by our tent and then we chilled out in the bush area. Kangaroos and wallabies are frequent visitors around camp and not overly shy. Fire pits are open to use. There is a midnight noise curfew but unfortunately not everyone obided by this rule.

Great campground getting wrecked by oxygen thieves.. Beautiful, secluded camp ground with great facilities and wildlife. Shame to find it covered in rubbish and toilet paper.. previous visitors had even gone to the effort to hide their bags of rubbish in the brush. We took what we could be was too much for what little space we had left in the car. If you can’t take it with you, at least keep it in sight so someone else can. Seems very deliberate to go to the effort to put it within the trees. Nappies too, hope you’re not teaching your kids this is acceptable to do

Zero to 1bar mobile service, FM radio stations ok. most sites you will need levelling blocks, not by much as reasonable flat. spacious at the time i arrived weekday. don't be deterred of the 6km gravel road, I see a lot of 2wd vehicles and frequently vehicles going past the camp to the next town. toilets some of the best i have seen for long drop, clean and toilet paper. no bins take your rubbish with you. ive put a video on youtube so google this site. Update....march 24th 2025. There is no walking trails for any short walks, i can see why people come for overnights as its free and so far plenty of empty sites to choose from. Even this weekend there wasnt any rowdy campers or anything like that. Its good that its only 6km to halls gap township along gravel road. i see many cars come and go without stopping which have tents on roof or gear in the back around lunchtime as though they are sussing it out possible for later returning to camp. Tents are ok here but at the time of this review gravel sites and the tent sites is hardly any grass. ive posted pics on here and uploaded you tube video if u want a good look around. Solar Panels , there is some sites better than others but tree covers,maybe...

Nestled among towering pine trees on the eastern slopes of the Mount Difficult Range, this spacious campground boasts excellent amenities and a picturesque setting.

Its convenient location near popular destinations like Halls Gap, Heatherlie Quarry, Beehive Falls, and the treasures of the Northern Grampians National Park makes it a perfect base for exploring the region.

The campground provides designated fire pits with grills, picnic tables, basic toilets, open-air showers, and a shared water tap (not suitable for drinking; water availability depends on the season).

Remember to use only the designated fire pits and bring your own firewood. Please be responsible and take all your rubbish with you, as there are no on-site disposal facilities.

Offering 30 unpowered sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, and motorhomes, the campground caters to a variety of camping styles. Each site has a maximum capacity of six people.

Camping at this location is free and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations...

First time visiting here over the long weekend Labour Day. The road to get there was very rough for our hatch back, although if you have a 4wd or a sedan you will be fine. The campsite itself was overly crowded. Seems to be a bit of a backpackers crowd and expect parties and loud music up until 4am. Didn't exactly feel very safe if you were to bring children, seems to be a bit of drug use.

The place itself is quiet dry. Not very green or lush and definitely not much grass around, if any at all. Keep in mind we visited end of summer, so perhaps during winter it may be different.

The place has basic amenities such as a drop toilet and an untreated tap water. Other than that, this place needs regulation and some monitoring. Not sure if i will be back any time soon. Shame because Halls Gap is...
