We felt unwelcome and changed our order to takeaway. After ordering 2 x scones with tea/coffee ($30), salad roll ($10) and small chips ($8) (also we were overcharged $1), we were told that our baby had to be seated due to COVID regulations (I commented that I had not heard this rule before), however they didn't have a high chair and he is too small to sit on a normal chair so my family went outside and I waited to get our food which we ate in the car (cold and very windy day otherwise eating outside by the jetty would have been nice). It just made us feel weird as I know this isn't a current covid restriction and there was only one other group inside seated at a table the other people inside were walking around looking at the paintings hanging on the wall. The chips whilst expensive at $8 for a cup were nice (pictured), my partner said the roll was nice, the coffee was weak IMO but I like strong coffee, I won't comment on the scones as its not something I usually order so maybe I just don't like scones.

Stayed at the caravan park which is to the west of the historic buildings and sadly didn't have the amazing views that the homestead does, but there are a couple of spots where you can get water views (see pic of view from inside our motorhome). And the jetty is a very short walk away. The owner was very friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed cake and coffee from the cafe (open Fri-Sun). The camp ground is just an open field next to the old buildings and we would have been happier paying $10-15 as we're self sufficient and self contained, but $20 for access to toilets (although very narrow!), camp kitchen, laundry etc I think is reasonable and comparable to any other CP. It was very quiet the two nights we stayed, may not have been as enjoyable if there were others about.

Last week we came to stay at 1 woolshed so called heritage house ,It was very very disgusting place. Not at all clean. Full of dirt, looks like was not at all moped or vaccumed and cleaned since 6-7 months, spiderwebs everywhere. Toilets were blocked , kitchen sinks were blocked, mattres was full with stains and very smelly and mice was running around the place looks like dump place. Will never ever recommend any one to live their. We were keep trying jacqui after one hour we entered in that dump place and she didn’t replied us. Nothing mentioned online that they won’t provide any quilt , bedsheet and pillow. That place is not at all safe to live for anyone. Not at all good place . Jacqui is not at all cooperative.

NO NO NO NO NO !! I cannot possibly recommend that you stay here... This place is so bad we cut our holiday short and left early.. As soon as we walked in we were hit by the stench of grease and oil from the filthy uncleaned oven..much like you may smell on your way past a burger eatery.. Dirty pots and pans, toaster , fridge you name it..we ended up driving to Coffin bay to buy our own crockery etc because we just didnt want to touch anything..in the end my wife ended up having to clean and disinfect the disgusting kitchen before we could cook in it as well as scrubbing the shower/toilet.. Next to the floors that had not been swept and cleaned before our arrival...including the used band-aid on the floor in our bedroom.. Did i mention the mouse doing the rounds of the kitchen.. On to the toilet and shower...i have been in sweeter smelling public toilets...cobwebs, dead bugs, stained toilet...you name it.. We left this place a whole lot cleaner than we found it.. We are so disappointed and to top it off i didnt feel that our host was particularly interested in our...
