Where to start. The “good,” first. The mountain view rooms have a lovely bush quality, breeze through the gum trees, the gentle rustle of the stream, cattle moving past.||And, it is not just “pet friendly,” it is “relaxed pet friendly,” nor is there an extra charge for “additional cleaning.”||There is a campsite area near the creek which appeared well patronised, with kids playing in the ponds.||Finally, it is economical, at $130 a night, compared to accommodation in the Central Coast area. That may, of course change at peak demand periods.||So much for the “good.” There is a restaurant / cafe, which is a good thing, since you are a long way from anything else, but the menu is pretty entirely “food from the freezer,” and mediocre at best. We did not stay for breakfast.||Our room, number 24, was basically clean, but tired. There are no bedside lights, minimal “in room amenities,” light switches that don’t work, and one only switch at the door that does anything.||‘One Switch to rule them all, One Switch to find them, One Switch to bring them all, and in the darkness blind them.” (Apologies to the Lord of the Rings.)||While advertised as a resort, unless you are camping with kids, and with your own food and cooking etc facilities, there is not a lot to do, and for any length of stay, it would get pretty boring. Driving into Port Macquarie and back for a decent meal and something to do would take three hours out of your day, and you would be better off simply staying there, provided you could find pet friendly accommodation, which...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place for a getaway! We went as a group of 12 for a Birthday celebration.||The staff were fantastic and the meals were just brilliant.||The big morning breakfast was sensational.||The day kicked off with a Quad Bike tour. Everyone had a really good time. Even those that had never been on a Quad before really enjoyed it. The scenery is outstanding and when you get to the half way point you are treated to delicious choc brownies..yum.||The afternoon was spent on a 4wd tour and wow what a tour. This tour is run by the resort owner and you can just tell he loves taking people out. He is very experienced and we always felt safe. Even when the vehicle was sliding in the mud. We made our way to the highest point on the property where there is a cottage available for guests to stay in. It is quiet and quaint and a great place to get away from everything. It is also the only place on the property with mobile coverage.||We were once again spoilt with afternoon tea which was prepared by the owners wife. Yum!||The return trip down the wet muddy mountain was better than any rollercoaster ride. I highly recommend giving the 4wd tour a go.||Dinner that night was a Birthday celebration and the staff really made the night go well. The Chef made a beautiful chocolate cake and the barbecue was awesome.||Everyone really loved their stay at My Sea view Resort and we will...
Read moreStayed last December 2021 for 1 night and promised not to come back. Website pictures looks great but the actual accomodation is disappointing.
We booked a month prior via Agoda, even called 3 weeks before and got confirmation from their reception that we were booked. However, on the day, they were not prepared and had to find us any available room they have. Upon arrival, the toiletries prepared were used (nearly empty), towels were only good for 1 person (they knew upon arrival that we are a couple), room had a sour smell, mosquitoes flying inside our accomodation and coffee, tea, sugar prepared was soaking wet inside the defrosted fridge.☹️
The place is far from shops so we have to eat in their restaurant, steak ordered is good if you are hungry, price is more expensive than RSL but waiting time is 2 hours. 😑 Owner personally apologised but even though he did, we won’t be coming back.
Place is understaff, the receptionist and maintenance are the waitress, cleaner and cook at the same time. Feeling bad for the staff, we did not complain and decided to leave the place at 5am. Owner seriously needs to improve the accommodation...
