I was so excited to return after we spent our honeymoon here 6 years ago. Overall we had a great stay but there were just a couple of things that tarnished our experience.

The first is that there was a cockroach problem. On our second night, I went to use a fresh face towel and screamed because a cockroach fell out of the towel as I picked it up. I didn't say anything to management at the time because yes, I get it, we're in the bush and maybe I was just unlucky. But this morning I literally was woken at 6am to a roach crawling on my hand! I have to say that was a first for me and not something I'd expect from luxury accommodation. All I can say is I'm glad it happened on the morning we were leaving because there's no way I would have felt comfortable sleeping in that room again after that.

The second thing is regarding the spa. My therapist was excellent and overall I really enjoyed both my pregnancy massage and facial, however I would absolutely not recommend having a pregnancy treatment here. Pregnancy massages are performed lying on your side, which actually was ok but I've had numerous pregnancy massages elsewhere (including Bodhi) and every other place has a pregnancy pillow with a hole cut out for the belly so you can lie horizontally. Regardless, the massage was still enjoyable on my side. The issue was with the massage table used for the facial. It wasn't adjustable so the only option was to lie horizontal which isn't just uncomfortable for pregnant women (I'm 28 weeks) but also dangerous and not advised by obstetricians. Again, I've had other treatments at other salons and they have all had adjustable beds so I could lie comfortably in a more angled/upright position. My therapist did an amazing job getting me comfortable and upright enough using pillows, so all credit to her, but by the end of the 1.5 hours my hips were in searing pain.

I provided all of the above feedback as we checked out and to their credit they said they would take it on board.

I don't want to be overly negative but I just don't feel comfortable giving more than a 2 star review until the cockroach issue is resolved - I'd hate for anyone else to experience what I did, especially when we paid...

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in the Luxury Villa. A beautiful stay however the only let down for this room is the stand in bath/shower. My partner slipped over and luckily I was standing nearby to catch his fall. There also needs to be a step or hand rail provided for ease of getting in and out, I am 5'4 and struggled to step out of the bath without the assistance of my partner. Aside from that the room was beautiful, the fire place was lovely and a great view of the fields.

The staff were very helpful and polite. There seemed to be a little bit of miscommunication between staff members, we were told breakfast was served from 8am-10am (which is also noted in the info book), we are early risers and went to breaky for 8. On our second morning the lady insisted that it started at 8:30 (despite being served at 8 the day before by a different lady) apparently in winter the guests upstairs like to sleep in longer and the kitchen is too noisy so they start later. We had to sit there for 30mins until we could order a coffee.

The spa was AMAZING! We had the 90min couples massage and wished we could have booked in for a second but they were fully booked. Just a beautiful experience and hands down the best massage we have ever received.

Overall a really lovely stay, just a couple of things to note but otherwise we would absolutely stay here again....

Where do I begin we had high expectations of this place and our expectations well and truly were exceeded!! This place is honestly the most beautiful piece of paradise with such a quiet calming feel about it which my wife and I absolutely loved.|We did the 2 day experience pack for the deluxe room with breakfast included a beautiful gourmet hamper with an abundance of delicious gourmet treats, a massage each and a bottle of red and white wine. |I bought this experience for my Wife's 50th birthday and was also for us being together 13 years. The staff were absolutely amazing so bubbly and friendly and professional, Our deluxe room was beautiful the decor is so modern and so well designed, the daily breakfast was plentiful and at a very high standard and a good selection, the peacefulness and the lush surroundings were very calming and the massages we had was absolutely by far the best both my wife and I have ever had they were extremely well trained and intuitive. ||It is beyond 5 stars in my eyes everything I couldn't fault it holds such a high bar with the experiences we've had at other places and we would both come back to this wonderful place in a heart beat. Highly recommend this Retreat especially if you want to come for a nice peaceful break away from the...

I stayed at Empire Spa Retreat by myself for 4 nights. The location is perfect, not too far from Dunsborough and Margaret River. The communication with the retreat staff prior to going, and during my stay was fantastic. They provided local information about restaurants, tour providers, spa treatments and even dress codes for where I was going for meals. The atmosphere in the retreat is cozy, inviting, warm, and very much a part of the natural surrounds. I had 3 spa treatments while I was there, including 2 of the spa rituals. They were absolute bliss. From full body scrubs, scalp massage, hair treatment, sauna, deep tissue and pressure point massage and facials, they do it all. I highly recommend Flora, Seraphina and Erica! The staff all greeted me by name and were very interested in what I had planned for each day. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE, with freshly brewed barista coffee, an amazing array of continental breakfast, and a made to order hot meal off a menu all included in your stay. The room was so comfy. I stayed in the loft suite and couldn't have asked for more. I'll definitely be back again!

We had an incredible 3-night stay at this exceptional accommodation in Margaret River. The small boutique setting with a maximum of 20 guests created a charming ambiance. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully styled, although the step-in bath with a shower curtain may not suit everyone's preference. The daily breakfast was delicious and generous. The onsite spa was a standout, and I highly recommend the Vanessa Megan 90-minute facial. Overall, it was a memorable experience and I highly recommend this place as a base for exploring the area with one you love.

5 stars just do not do the Empire Spa Retreat justice. It was heavenly. 3 days of pure rest and relaxation. Our luxurious room opened up to a deck that overlooked nature. Room 1 if you are interested. We came to celebrate a very special occasion. And we chose the right place to celebrate. Starting the weekend with a couple's massage. Each morning started with a great breakfast and one evening we had a gourmet hamper. Delicious. Part of our package was a lunch at Vasse Felix and this too was excellent. Highly recommended.
