Stayed on a powered site for 5 nights late July 2025, upon arrival all we could smell was a septic stench through our area. I didn’t worry too much at the start as there was works within the area within the park so I thought someone may have stirred something up prior to our arrival.

By the next morning, there was water running up, out of the drain that they “sealed” with a pot plant…🤬 running under our van, which had also ran along our power, water and drainage hoses.

We raised this with reception to be addressed as we left for our tour that morning, and advised them we would be back at 1pm.

We returned around 12:45, went to our site and no one came to see us at 1pm, thinking it must be sorted. Around 1:45, water was once again coming out of the drain, flooding our site.

Raised it again with reception around 2-2:30pm on our way out again, who reported it to maintenance.

We got a call asking where we were, and I stated to them we were out, and we were told there’s nothing we could do.

They had no space for us on another site as they had booked out the emergency sites. They informed us that there system is overwhelmed and cannot keep up with the demand.

I informed staff I’ll look for a new site at other parks and will be chasing a refund on our remaining nights, and they told me to take that up with management, so I told them to pass my number on.

I was also told by staff that “management” said there’s nothing they can do to fix this.

I tried telling the staff member it just needs a cap on it, but they became rude and blunt and wouldn’t actually listen, I also mentioned the cap when we first reported this…

We never got a call from management, I ended up going to the local supply store and buying a cap and capping the pipe myself that fixed the issue about 90%, with the odd faint smell on occasion still coming through our site.

When we arrived back at our site to cap the pipe, one of the maintenance staff members rocked up with a manager, and said I wish I thought of that..(capping the pipe) That individual staff member is quite arrogant and a camper within our area also mentioned they have had issues with him.

The manager did apologise for the inconvenience and thanked me for fixing there issue, but also raised its an ongoing problem with old drainage.

If it’s such a problem why are you booking every site?

They clearly don’t care about the customers actual experience.

Only reason I fixed this as we couldn’t get another site at another park at this busy time.

I can personally recommend the RAC park, stayed there in 2021, was a...

Rudest staff ever! Our final destination after doing the Gibb River Road was Broome. We are a group of 7 adults, 1 baby and 5 dogs in 4 cars. We called twice before starting our trip to make our reservation and explained our situation. We spoke with Sandy, who was really nice and she confirmed they would give us 2 sites as they were quite big and we could be together (still paying the price per person, which was ok for us).

What a surprise when we got to the reception to do the check in and we found the rudest 2 women we've seen in ages! They just told us everything we couldn't do in their caravan park and that we couldn't occupy 2 sites with our 4 cars (booking that they actually offered weeks before on the phone).

The morning after, at 6:30 am, one of the women that was at the reception with purple hair, came to our sites to tell 1 person of our group that our cars couldn't be where we parked them as they needed the back space to make overflow sites. We asked a few normal questions such where are the site boundaries, why they don't put different site signs, etc which she refused to answer, saying that she didn't have to explain any of that to us and if we didn't like the rules of her caravan park we knew were the gate was. When we all went to talk to her and understand the situation, she said she wouldn't talk to the whole group as we had "group mentality" and we were a gang giving her bad looks. She was really rude and without a point. After the confrontation, she said we could stay were we were parked and minutes after came back and started putting overflow signs in our spots, sent someone to paint lines, etc.

One car of our group left a couple of days earlier and she decided to put someone in that space, even though we paid for it and there were plenty of spaces in the caravan park.

It is a shame that this place is run by people with no customer service skills at all as the park has a lot to offer. Broome has plenty of caravan parks and I would recommend to keep this one as your last option. We will...

Had a cabin here for one night, wow! What an eye opener. We returned after an afternoon out on the beach, watching the sunset and camel trains, quite a nice beach there in Broome. TV remote was dead. Air con remote had dead batteries, - press a button and the display went blank, being from the cooler south we needed it. Fluro tube in bedroom flickered like crazy, one bed-lamp had blown bulb.

Went to the Office, it was closed, used wall phone to call a/hrs, didn't answer after 3 attempts, returned to cabin and called via mobile phone. Park managers attended, with the various parts needed etc.

The Fluro and bed-lamp bulb were replaced by the park managers. They also cleaned some cobwebs from the TV, when they came to try and rectify the issues with the remotes, so that was a plus. TV remote was un-serviceable. (Broken) and was going to be replaced. Explained we now had to operate tv by the side control buttons, and apologised.

Cobwebs to ceiling light in bathroom and above the lounge, had residents in them.

Toilet roll holder was a nice piece of purple nylon string holding the roll between the stainless arms. Large dirty brown stain in bathroom sink, maybe needed some Handy Andy or Jif? Or just plain elbow grease!

2 large green tree frogs in the toilet pan, relocated them to the palm trees outside, but they'll be back according to park staff. - Not really an issue. But gave the Mrs quite a fright.

I made mention on checking out with reception of the very inferior cleaning and problems we had, they did apologise and I was told they would speak to the cleaner. Yep that works. Hopefully the cleaner was handed a copy of the employment section from the morning paper.

Paid a premium price ($185.00/night) for what we feel was very inferior value. Have had far better quality in many other places for a lot less, having just completed a trip across the top, we saw lots of good, bad and indifferent cabins, motels etc.

The park itself is nicely presented, and has plenty of good aspects about it. Just that the cabin...

The pool is the best. Having a lap pool and a beautiful lagoon pool was so nice. The pool never seemed crowed. Very clean. We were placed in the overflow section of the park which we had grass, water, power but had to collect our Gray water, which you emptied into large plastic containers scattered close by and throughout the area. Overflow area sites are also used to use their own toilet and showers. We had two nights and then moved onto another site, which I booked the 2nd day. We were there. The funny thing is first 2 nights got a price as very last minute, and the 3rd night got last minute, so the 3rd night was more than the first two nights. Absolutely crazy system. 3rd night site was 130, and this time, we were allowed to use the shower and toilet. Showers were OK. Red dirt gets into the grouting and tiles, and even after a mop, it still looks dirty. Water pressure could be improved, but at least it was hot. Washing machines were at a good price of$4.00 using coin but$5.00 when using a card. You can catch tours from the main gate. We stayed here a couple of years ago and would stay again.

Caravan park has approx 266 sites, ATM costs $62 per night. Not within walking distance of any convenience stores. Washing machine 3 working 3 not working. Cloths lines are full. Site evaluation, it's a dust bowl, no sullage points can be found. Camp kitchen is aged and in need of a good clean. Park environment, windy dusty and near uninhabitable, site is used for storage of industrial machinery, caravans and trailers. New site excavation operations currently being developed creating excess dust being blown into park sites making enjoyment of facilities impossible. When complaints were made, park manager threatened to "make sure we would not stay in any another caravan park". Not very professional - will never return!
