Rossmount Rural Retreat — Hotel in Ross Creek

Family of four, stayed for three nights. Beautiful place and David and Jeanette were extremely welcoming and informative. Breakfast was beautiful every morning with fresh laid farm eggs and a delicious fruit platter. The rooms are clean and perfectly adequate. ||We used it as a base for trips to Tin Can Bay/Rainbow beach and the surrounding spots. Kids had a lovely walk each morning looking for the elusive platypus (we did see an echidna one morning) and the lake was very serene. Not suitable for swimming in, there are canoes (we didn't use) which would be a great way to see nature.||Kids fed dolphins in Tin Can Bay, swam in the safe waters and generally had a whale of a time.||If you want to get away from hustle and bustle and enjoy peace and quiet then this is a great...

The owners were very friendly. The moment we arrived we felt very welcome. ||Because of this, it has taken me awhile to write this review and is the sole reason I rated this||place poor, rather than less.||The reality of the place is not what I imagined from the pictures shown of the property.||Take note of the extra $25 you pay for the breakfast part of staying in a Bed and Breakfast, now making it a $170 accommodation. Even if I rate this property on the $145 advertised price, it is still way too expensive for what you get.||||I enjoy staying in different standards of accommodation. ||But I am aware there are more places in the area that offer this same level of "rustic" stay at much...

Very disappointed experience, i traveled with my 3 children and the road was very bad and difficulties to access to the property, I have a small car but nobody told me about this when I asked Jeanette it was perfectly fine for her. She told me if I wasn't happy I could leave the property after i was driving a long time to get there. She showed me the room and the fridge was off and mouldy. No big towels and soap for me and the kids . There is any facilitaties to cook. The suite I booked for was looking old and dirty. My mum booked this for me and my kids but we couldn't stay because how uncleaned it was for a family. I would not recommended to anyone...
