DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I booked a queen room for $180p/n. It’s a donga with a queen bed in it. The sheets were stained. The towels stank. The worst place I have ever stayed in my life!! Can’t cook in room. Have to pay for bbq. It’s basically a park filled with outdated and defunct mining dongas x 213. Yes there’s 213 of them on site. Nothing about this place is good whatsoever!! For $180 per night I had a massive 2bdr king bed apartment on top floor of a Darwin hotel. Not here! You get a filthy dodgy dog box of a room. Just bypass Pt Hedland all together. Refer to pics.

We stayed here with our motorhome on 28&29 07 24. It was not a good experience. Our site was so sandy we got bogged a couple of times while maneuvering into position. We didn't see the cyclone steel cable ties due to the sand until it was too late. One of the cables gouged a front tyre requiring us to replace both front tyres before we could move on to our next destination. A very costly affair. If you do stay here the one saving grace might be the fab pizza from the Italian restaurant in the adjacent donga. The facilities were otherwise on the low end of standard.

Great place to stop over for the night, toilets need a revamp and they need to do something about the lack of hot water. The pool is great. The sites range in price up to $60 for a drive through (October) and where we parked it was red bull dust, which gets in to everything. The girls were great on the desk, very accommodating to what we ask for.The roads are sealed, but alittle small, but take your time and it is manageable. Watch for the tiedowns on sites when walking around, easy to trip on them.Best 10/10 pizzas next door...

We booked on the way to Port Hedland. II had read the reviews of the other caravan parks and decided to book for 2 nights. This is the first review I have written after staying in most of the top caravan parks on our way from Qld in the last 2 months. I was prompted to write this after reading previous reviews so can only give my opinion from 3 days ago. When booking the staff were very friendly, on arrival the same friendly welcome. The toilets and showers are not new but were clean with good hot showers. The laundry was not new but well presented the washing machines were very good with a clothes line directly outside, no grass but had a clean concrete slab which I really thought was good seeing there is a lot of red dirt in this region. The caravan sites are big and the drive through sites even bigger. The total length of our caravan is just over 7 meters. Because the caravan park was not busy they took $10.00 per night off the normal rate and gave us 2 sites so we could drive through. We were concerned that noise could be a worry at night due to trucks in Port Hedland. We both had the best nights sleep since we have started our trip, no noise very quiet. The swimming pool was sparkling clean. We were happy with our decision to stay at Blackrock Tourist Park. Shopping center not far away but will need to drive. Italian restaurant next door. Very happy with our stay. We felt...

We booked here for one night to catch up with a friend staying here.Reception was good although we had to provide ID which was a first in our travels. We were sent to the area where the transient travellers go close to the ablution area.Wasnt taken with the place from dot one but the pool area looked nice and a very green lawn in among a very barren scape.Toilets were old and showers could do with an update but there was hot water. At 2,30am in the morning I heard a noise outside our open window and looked out to see someone going through our car fridge which was just left outside(stupid us).I quickly yelled at his and he took off but then I didnt sleep the rest of the night waiting for him to return. He probably wasnt interested in diet coke and light beer which was all that was in there.I feel we could have been warned of the possibility of opportunists as we had in so many dodgy areas that we stayed(and then had no issues).Constant noise of trucks and cars right outside the park because its a roundabout .We moved the next night to another Port Hedland caravan park and it was so superior in every way.I would NOT stay here again even if it was free.Rather pay to stay at the other caravan parks in...

Convenient Stop with Friendly Service

Blackrock Tourist Park was our fourth stop on a campervan journey from Broome to Perth in July/August 2025. We chose it as a convenient place to refuel, restock groceries, and spend the night before heading toward Karijini National Park.

Although we thought we had pre-booked, there was no reservation when we arrived. Thankfully, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they offered us an emergency powered site, which worked perfectly.

The pool was ice-cold and salty, but still fun for a quick jump-in for the kids. The facilities were excellent—some sites share a block with four cabin-style units, each containing a shower, sink, and toilet. It felt like a semi-private ensuite setup, which was a nice surprise.

The location is ideal for accessing the South Hedland shopping area, just a 5-minute drive away. It’s a great spot to recharge and prepare for the next leg of the journey.

We definitely recommend Blackrock Tourist Park as a practical and...
