Quaffers on Storm King — Hotel in Storm King

My husband and I had a lovely 3 night stay at Quaffers on Storm King. We arrived in the evening and Deb had already prepared the cabin and the fire place for us (it was nice and warm). It was a quick 11 minutes drive from the Stanthorpe town. The cabin it self is new, very clean, spacious, and well thought of. It has a nice deck in the front which you can use to sit and view the dam or have a nice breakfast. The bedroom suite was clean and large. The bed was very comfortable. The sheets were well made, crisp and warm- heated blankets were such a great idea for winter. My husband and I loved having the fireplace (it was perfect for the cool weather in Stanthorpe). It kept us warm! Thank you Quaffers for topping up the fire wood each day! The kitchen was modern, spacious, and had all quality cooking utensils and basic cooking necessities. We didn't need to worry about a thing. Quaffers provided us with a lovely breakfast pamper for 3 days (also very well thought of). The Quaffers grounds was well maintained and there were resident kangaroos quietly minding their own business. If you want a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I would highly recommend this accomodation and will be back for sure. Thanks again for a lovely weekday getaway Quaffers! We had the most wonderful stay here on February 15 for a belated Valentine’s getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and serenity of this place. The cabin was absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and perfectly positioned with a breathtaking waterside view. It was so peaceful and such a relaxing stay—something we don’t get often with the kids!

The service was exceptional, with so many thoughtful touches that made our stay feel extra special—delicious breakfast included, a beautifully presented charcuterie board as an optional extra, and the sweetest surprise of wine and chocolates for Valentine’s Day. Every little detail made it a truly unforgettable experience.

We honestly cannot recommend this place enough! It’s the perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax, unwind, and soak in pure tranquility just 10 minutes from Stanthorpe. We will absolutely be staying again and telling everyone we know about...

We spent 3 beautiful nights at Quaffers and had the most amazing time ! The cabins are so well appointed they have everything you could possibly need. The bed was cosy and comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious and with its beautiful Washpool body washes felt like you are at a day spa. The fire was stocked and ready to light and there is cosy blankets to snuggle up with. It is so quiet and peaceful with a stunning outlook you have the best opportunity to truly unwind. Deb is so hospitable and was happy to help with anything we needed.
