Far from the 5-star stay that’s advertised. Raised issues and owners never responded. All about the money, not the guests. We paid $900 for two nights, really Dissapointed.
Edited after owner responses Read the owners (very well written chat gpt responses) below, we did raise these issues to receive no response at all, not even to this day did we receive a response, but hark, super fast smart-alec, non relevant nor helpful responses on their google page. Funny that! Again, the place is money hungry and not aimed at the guests.
Just one facecloth between us left and two rolls of toilet paper for a couple staying two nights. Bed has a huge roll-together; pillows go hard and flat—left us with sore backs and necks. Couch cushions and throw blankets smelled like they’ve never been washed. “Welcome gift” of four chocolates—expected a little more at this price point. Firewood: $25 for wet/green, half-used logs that wouldn’t light; we had to purchase other wood and kindling. BBQ offers no shelf and no cleaning gear, yet threatens fee of $50 if not left spotless. You get two duplicate emails full of spelling mistakes—unprofessional. “Luxury” touches missing: no cotton buds, hardly any milk, no condiments. "Earth friendly" products, full of chemicals. We’ve stayed in many glamping spots; this one feels cheap and lacks the basics. Not worth the cost, and we...
Read moreHad booked for our 20th wedding anniversary and cyclone Alfred was due to hit in the night we were booked in on the Thursday. I reached out on the Monday asking to be postponed as we were worried via email and got a phone call to say ‘the sun is shining now’ and all will be going ahead but will be in contact daily. Also told T&C state they do not have to offer refund or change of date and it’s not their problem we had to travel 2 hours to get there. Wednesday I emailed again asking for an update and their contingency plan as who wants to be in a tent in a cyclone and we were worried as well as driving home Friday in the predicted weather. Absolutely no response and got our check in email and email on Friday telling us how to check out. A week later get an email offering us a free night if we book 2 or more nights which they state they don’t have to do. So basically asking us to spend another $1000 to get our night back we paid for. Very sad concern wasn’t given to a freak weather event and understanding the concern and safety of the guests about trying to enjoy our experience and not being worried the whole time. Pity as many other friends and work colleagues were excited to hear our experience so they could book as many had seen on social media and now won’t be and also astounded at the attitude...
Read moreEnjoyed a couple of nights over Christmas at this adults only slice of HEAVEN ...We had plenty of plans to adventure farther but all that was forgotten once we settled in oversized comfy chairs on our covered deck. Decor is fantastic and bedding lux. Oversized sofa great to catch a movie or settle into a book. Must have is a long soak in the claw foot bath with a view....actually every aspect on all sides is a forrest view. We had misty rainy weather and it was beautiful to watch as the leaves fluttered down through the clouds of mist...gave our overstimulated Gold Coast senses a total reset...will be definitely back for longer to explore ...or maybe to just enjoy being in the natural surrounds again. BBQ on the deck and all you need to throw together a feast in nature...good wine if you run out and loved the outdoor fire pit. Love Love Love this romantic getaway.
Also contemplating how great this experience would be for a total reset for one before jumping to a big year ahead...actually plenty to do around the area and pretty close to good restaurants and the beaches if you didn't want to cook. Can't wait I'm...
