A warm welcome on arrival by Jenny to her large property and lake house. My husband and I enjoyed a large bedroom, king size bed and generous en-suite with great hot shower when you consider it is using tank water. The house is spotlessly clean and well equipped with all amenities you could possibly require with a relaxed ambience, we felt very comfortable to use the kitchen, walk around the gardens and sit by the pool for an afternoon drink. Tank welcomed our small French bulldog to his home and we appreciated the option to socialise or keep to ourselves as all occupants respected each other’s privacy, including Willis. We had a lovely Valentine's Day getaway here, it's a very laid back quiet and romantic place to be. We had an ensuite room at the end of the building and we felt like we had complete privacy. There was another couple there and we shared the kitchen, dining and lounge areas, but they were very friendly and our paths didn't cross very often. The pool was warm and the kitchen was well equipped with tea and coffee and milk included there was even a Nespresso machine and plenty of pods! Melany is a five minute drive away and there's lots of other local things to do. We went to Landsborough hotel for dinner one night and had a tasty feed. No platypus sightings unfortunately though..I was hoping to spot...

Beautiful , inexpensive county style comfort accommodation. If you like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life then this is the complete remedy. Only an hours drive from the city. The host was very friendly and hospitable. Plentiful of wildlife presence. Pet friendly accommodation. A self serve breakfast is available on order you get to cook with the freshest ingredients in the house e.g. eggs from the farm, fresh honey and herbs from the garden. This is the best treat that you can give to yourself. Be awaken my wildlife in your doorstep.
