A single top loader washing machine & a single dryer in the laundry at the far end & nearby reception a laundry with 2 of each. We stayed 2 weeks & saw many campers coming & going. Description of “grass site” is actually all gravel - probably better for preventing mud & erosion. Plenty of trees but with that comes plenty of bird poop - we tried to park our car under our awning to save it. Gravel for van & shade cloth on the ground for stepping out of the van or parking the car. Water claims to be spring but has a lot of minerals, leaving white residue & after a taste determined it still seems treated with chlorine, so we didn’t drink without filter. Staff were lovely. Area was fairly quiet but so many cars close together meant a bit of engine noise throughout the park. However, people were respectful & no rowdy crowds. Dedicated camp spots for those with furry friends to roam freely inside a fenced area. Rubbish bins near each site & collected often. Very clean amenities though a little run down, however not impacting comfort. A playground in sand, volleyball in sand, tennis/basketball court, swimming pool, putt-putt & several shaded tables & chairs. Plenty of rabbits around at night. Wifi was reliable. Several camp kitchens, enclosed & open to the air, 1 with a vending machine with snacks. A large good quality park overall with everything one needs. 20 minutes into...
Read moreYou know every time I come here I feel so welcome & cared for!! every time I go to my room the lights are on and the heater is going and I feel like I'm being welcomed home!! The reservation process whether over the phone or on the Internet is smooth as sil. Arrival after hours is very efficient & safe. The best thing is the bitumen caravan drive through sites and the food at the Eaglehawk Hotel!! Water is drinkable but yucky. Lovely lake, car wash bay, putt putt golf, mini soccer, fire pit, camp kitchens, school cabins, Drive throughs are excellent and well maintained, and all are close to amenities that are clean but old and for some reason rusting!? Plenty of cabins, powered sites - and these guys cater for schools - massive school cabins and camp kitchens. "Dog Freedom" sites with fences around to keep your dog & van secure. Pet friendly but only 2 cabins and all caravan sites. Heaps of powered sites are reasonably priced. The only thing is the distance this place is a long way out of town, but it's not too far (11-25 minutes) to places like Dickson (11 mins) Gungahlin (15 minutes) Ainsley shops (15-20 minutes) Belconnen shopping mall & North Canberra. this time I stayed in a school cabin with a queen bed at a single bedroom absolutely everything you need very comfortable quiet good hot water absolutely spotless wouldn't wouldn't go...
Read moreI come here quite often, the kids love the facilities, especially the jumping pillow. We also like the open fire place being lit on those colder nights to. Toasted marshmallows go down well! Hot spot wifi works well. Although some cabins/furnishings are a bit dated, I have always found the cabins to be clean and spacious, as are the amenities and camp kitchen. The natural spring water from the tap does taste a bit different but is ok to drink, just mix cordial in and you won't know. There is a rain water tank on site where the water tastes normal, so we just make sure we have water bottles with us. If we have had any maintenance issues, they have always been fixed immediately. The staff are always professional and helpful. You are a bit out of the city away from the hussle and bussle, so nice and quiet but it's not that far away to get into the different parts of the city. There is a busy hotel/pub(Pomme talk) close by that does good food. Also the petrol station has a cafe attached, and a shop that has essentials you might need. All though I haven't stayed on the sites they have plenty of room and you might share the land with...
