The Willis is a cute accommodation space a short distance off the main drag on the way to Bilpin. The service has three accommodation options, and we opted for the Willows Cottage. The Cottage has three bedrooms, with one master queen, and two separate beds (including a cot for youngin's). It is self contained and self sufficient from the rest of the accommodation, so while other people might be nearby in the main lodge, you are blissfully isolated. The cottage has its own fireplace, large TV, kitchen (including microwave, stove and oven, fridge and freezer), and large bathroom with shower (no bath - but maybe one day!). The cottage was spotlessly clean and well presented. The booking came with a continental breakfast included, as well as some basic pantry items you might need (a few cereals, coffee with French press, milk, juice, jams, cooking oil and S&P), which was much appreciated.

The owners are friendly and happy to provide you with information on the local area and eateries. Being located so close to kurrajong and nearby tourist spots, the Willows is a great place to either have a lazy weekend with friends, family or a lover, or otherwise use as a springboard to hit up the nearby must-visits.

The Cottage comes with complementary Wifi (though we note the only downside we experience is the property is unfortunately not blessed with super highspeed broadband so if youre there to Netflix your weekend - there might be some buffering - while we endured it, this did not detract from our score or experience).

We recommend booking through the Owners directly for best service and options. 5/5 would visit again (and we have...

We arrived to be greeted by the lovely Bruce and Janet after a long drive from Sydney. We had arranged the trip only a few days earlier and they were super quick with responses, and gave us really detailed directions to get to their home.

Janet showed us around the gardens and the loft where we were staying was amazing. It was in immaculate condition, light, bright and airy. The bed was SO comfortable, and the linens (sheets and towels) were top quality. The little bits and pieces were lovely something EXTRAS - sherry and dark chocolate, a DVD collection, books, books, books, a small jar of melt-in-your-mouth shortbread. It was very quiet and we loved that the shower had a little window that looked over the green paddocks and sheep.

That night Bruce offered us a fire pit in their stone OUTSIDE FIREPLACE, which was beyond beautiful. We sat with a cheese plate and ciders, listening to the crackle of the fire, under a smattering of a million stars. It was a superb way to end the day.

There was a FULL breakfast the next day, with so much lovely food - freshly squeezed orange juice, sparkling apple juice, coffee, fresh country chicken eggs, plentiful bacon, fruit toast, sourdough with butter and homemade strawberry/plum jams (you must try them!) and country marmalade. We didn't need to eat for the rest of the day.

It was simply a gorgeous place, with the perfect hosts, and a very hard place for us to leave. We...

The Loft suite at The Willows was very comfortable. The attention to details was exceptional. Fruit bowls, chocolates, fresh flowers added a lovely touch. Loved having the flexibility to have breakfast in the room, at my own convenience.

The proximity to Kurrajong village made it convenient if you needed to get supplies.

Though I could hear other guests out and about, it was mostly quiet and private. It was a wonderful place to rest and relax.

There's only one thing- there's minimal privacy as there are no doors for the shower and toilet, only a...

My husband and I enjoyed two nights at The Willows in The Loft. The room was luxurious, with all manner of delights to discover. The highlight for me was the comfortable bed with Featherlight doona and an assortment of pillows! I have never slept so soundly while away. The grounds are beautifully maintained, outdoor furniture to enjoy and a gas barbecue on our patio on which we cooked juicy steaks! We went for a rest and returned rejuvenated.
