Carinya Byron Bay — Hotel in Talofa

Just came back from 8 days in the beautiful Carinya villas in Talofa! Travelling with 3 kids under 5 is no easy feat but we had the most lovely time due to the exceptional facilities this accommodation offers. They even provided a porta cot and high chair so we didn’t have to travel with these things making life and packing easier. We cooked dinner at our villa 4 nights and they had all necessary tools and appliances including kids cups and plates and cutlery. Loved that we got 2 sneaky gin and tonics in the fridge on arrival so we could put our feet up once the kids were asleep and enjoy the stunning view over the hinterland. Best location, literally 5-15 minutes from everything worth seeing and doing. Colin was so lovely to even give the kids a farm tour with hubby while I took baby into newrybar for some shopping! Will definitely be back to this place as it had everything we needed and nothing we did not.

Ps the mozzies were bad this time of year so prepare for that but that is generally life in the bush so it didn’t bother...

The most beautiful, special, and relaxing place to stay.

WELL RESOURCED - the villa was spacious and had the facilities to make it feel like we didn't leave anything at home. The kitchen, laundry, and bathroom has everything that you need and could think of.

CLEAN AND QUIET - the entire villa was spotless and felt like we were the first to be staying in it. Given the clever landscaping, we felt completely separate from the other villas and couldn't even see them. We were undisturbed and left alone with nature the entire stay. The outlook from every room was gorgeous and makes it easy to slip into holiday mode as soon as you arrive.

OVERALL EXCELLENT STAY - there is so much thought that has gone into designing, equipping, and fitting out the Villas and making sure they flow into the outdoors and natural setting. The communication with the hosts was great. They have created a place of quiet luxury and their attention to detail hasn't gone unnoticed.

We will definitely book again...

When booking my first trip to Byron Bay I came across Carinya on airbnb. I went last month and was blown away when I arrived to the beautiful villa! The villa was very modern and clean and had spectacular hinterland views. It is also in a fabulous location - I felt like I was hours away from Byron Bay because of the serenity however I was only 10 mins drive to the main area and 5 to Bangalow.The Carinya team were fast in communication and checking in and out was a breeze. There were yummy local goodies left in the villa and info provided on good cafes and activities in Byron which I appreciated being my first visit. I've been recommending Carinya to friends & family.
