Southern Sky Glamping — Hotel in Tamborine Mountain

The glamping accommodations are a hybrid between a tent and a cabin making for an overall authentic "glamorous camping" experience. There are beautiful views to take in from the accomodation, surrounded by greenery. In our case we were unlucky due to the unexpected weather conditions, which did impact our overall experience. We had what I would call very strong, icy winds which billowed the tent all night. In full camping circumstances I would have passed in these conditions, but I guess this was an unexpected element that caused for some disturbance of sleep. Having a fully kitted kitchen is a big plus, and the bathroom was lovely. Everything was clean and in good condition but for me there were a few elements missing that I would hope for in an accommodation- no warm blankets or pillows provided, no towels or bath mat, no tissues and no heating. The floors were icy cold to walk on and with a 9 month old baby heating was important in the conditions. The reasoning provided for lack of linen was due to COVID19, I'm not sure of the connection there since a fitted sheet was provided but there is only so much guests can bring with them! Overall, perhaps in better weather circumstances this would have been more suitable accommodation given what is on offer. We had a lovely yet chilly 2 night stay, with our 2 kids (4 months old and 3yo). The garden view from our deck was really nice. Little bit of a shame that it has a heated pool but that it's closed during winter. Our car was jam-packed as it's byo towels and linen (minus fitted sheets). This is all made clear prior to staying though. It would be good if bigger items such as doonas were provided. Kitchen and bathroom were good, although we ate out for the majority of the weekend. Just finished our spectacular stay at Southern Sky Glamping. We have never been to Mt Tamborine before and so we were not sure where would be the best place to stay. Luckily we found Southern Sky Glamping because it was the best Glamping tent I have ever been in! Super affordable and such a lovely place. Everything was well cleaned and neat. Beds were very comfy.
