Belmont Homestead — Hotel in Tasmania

Thankyou bentmore cottage. We arrived at the cottage by open arms of the owners who showed us around their beautiful property before showing us the place we were staying for 2 nights. There was a beautiful fireplace with ample wood and when we ran out the owners were quick to give us more for another night. We were provided tawny and home grown bacon and eggs which was a beautiful treat and extremely tasty. We were there for our honeymoon which was a wonderful experience and it was like home away from home. If you’re looking for a gorgeous stay away from the city, close to beautiful winery’s and outstanding walks in Tasmania’s national forests in a 1800’s style home this is it. A few km north of Swansea (and therefore a bit closer to the treasures of Bicheno, and FreycinetPpeninsula), the unique Homestead is an ideal spot to explore north and south, including Maria Island (from Triabunna). Hosts Maureen and John do an exceptional job, in making all their guests feel very welcome and special.||||We had the homestead family unit, which is fully set up with a good kitchen and plenty of room, which can easily cater for a family. We had a wonderful stay at Belmont Homestead. Maureen and John were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the Belmont Wing, it was clean, cosy and had all the essentials. The property is absolutely beautiful. There is a lovely orchard which they were kind enough to let us pick from, there is also a water hole which is very refreshing to swim in and some adorable sheep, goats and chickens. It is in a great spot, approx 45 mins from Freycinet, and very close Swansea and some of the east coast wineries. Will absolutely be visiting again next time we...
