After a shocking experience at a previous venue, staying here was an absolute delight! The rooms are lovely, in their traditional style, and have ensuites. The beds comfy as all hell. But even then, we spent most of our time in the communal lounge by they fire, sipping wine and chatting to strangers in the fantastic ambiance. The caretaker there deserves special credit. His willingness to deliver service, showcase his skills and knowledge, and to do so with a smile and a laugh cannot be understated.
I only wish they were further along with their setting up of their whisky bar and tasting nights. I have no doubt that this would be an amazing experience backed by great knowledge.
