This has to be one of the best luxury houses in Tasmania, if not Australia. Its location, with uninterrupted views across the bay from floor to ceiling windows that run the length of the house, is worth the price alone. But step inside and everything reeks of luxury. We stayed with two other couples and each of the separate bedrooms with ensuites were luxurious and spacious. The way they are located in the house means each is private and noise is no issue. The two separate living areas look straight across to the views which are just mesmerising as the weather changes. Comfortable couches and armchairs are in abundance and there is an enormous dining table. A full kitchen is provided with very generous breakfast provisions and an enormous pantry is well stocked. There is more crockery and cutlery than most average homes. Of course there is the mandatory bbq and front deck and if is does get cold a huge double sided open fire is the centerpiece of the living areas . Simply superb, we are going back...
Read moreAfter trekking on the coast for several days, my friend and I planned a stay at the Dragonfly Lodge for a weekend of rest and relaxation. As soon as we arrived and stepped through the ancient Chinese gate, I felt enveloped by the exquisite decor, which felt luxurious, yet serenely comfortable. The breathtaking view was available from every angle of the living area, as if it was there for our exclusive enjoyment!||||Since I had traveled from America, the comfortable bed and blackout curtains were greatly appreciated, allowing a truly restorative sleep. In fact, every detail of the Inn has been perfectly attuned for comfort and beauty.||||Walks on the beach, wine tasting and reading made this the perfect finale for an unforgettable trip. I would highly recommend the Dragonfly to even the most demanding of travelers. I hope to return one day, but if not, thank you for the...
Read moreThis property is very much a hidden gem of the East Coast of Tasmania. Total luxury, divine views, and most things you could possibly want for a beautiful stay.||3 couples were in our party. It accommodates up to 6 with king beds which can be separated into king singles. Pantry items exceptional, advertising it provides Australian/Irish breakfast provisions. Our only complaint for our 2 night stay would be no spreads or jams provided for breakfast, so if thinking of going take these items with you. Hot breakfast ingredients, plus bread, butter provided, even a bread maker with ingredients.||We took our own dinner provisions as didn’t want to leave the property. Even though it was winter the house is warm and the double sided fire an absolute bonus. Bedrooms are nicely separated from each other, all with large ensuites.||We will be...
