Lisdillon Estate — Hotel in Tasmania

It is our last evening at the Blacksmith Cottage, and what can I say? This place is simply beautiful – peaceful, full of charm, and wonderfully cosy. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and at ease. The cottage is thoughtfully furnished and equipped with almost everything one might need. All you really have to bring is time and a sense of appreciation.

There is so much to explore on the estate itself – lovely walks, quiet corners, and breathtaking scenery. The location could not be better. You are nestled in nature, yet still within easy reach of cellar doors, picturesque beaches, and mountains waiting to be climbed. It is the kind of place that gently encourages you to slow down and enjoy every moment.

Without a doubt the most beautiful accommodation I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Not only that, but there are THREE private beaches to explore?? My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and the location was so perfect. Tranquil, intimate and quiet, allowing us to focus on one another and the beautiful ocean. Lots of birds to spot too, I even saw some terns en route from Antarctica huddled on the beach! Proximity to Freycinet national park is also great, you can drive into Swansea for a nice bakery and coffee on the way. The shepherds cottage was gorgeous, extremely warm, comforting and clean. I remarked that it felt like staying at a family members house due to the thoughtful touches such as coffee, lots of crockery and cooking tools, books, blankets and lovely bathroom. 10/10, an...

Stayed in the blacksmiths cottage fantastic and comfortable amazing place but unfortunately my stay was let’s say a tiny bit upsetting due to having to drive to Swansea mitre 10 to purchase not one but 2 extension cords to charge my BMW iX as you don’t provide an extension cord to charge my EV car. Only to be completely emasculated ( a man driving an electric car) by two women driving massive 4x4’s parked and I couldn’t get my iX into the parking spot, thankfully they moved their massive 4x4 with ease for me to park so I could plug in my EV car to charge. Accommodations were amazing the wives husbands laughing at me because I can’t park not so good.it’s also cheaper to charge where I’m staying over night than going to a charging station.
