Stayed in Numie for one night in February. Our tent (Tea Tree) was beautifully decorated with a boho theme, and came complete with a comfortable bed, linen sheets, and a mini fridge that gave it a glamping feel. There was a lovely little kitchen hut that was well equipped with a BBQ, gas stove, utensils, and cutlery - with basic condiments and olive oil also provided. The location was also serene, right on Coles Bay. Luggage trolleys to cart bags from the car park area to the tent were also provided, which was very helpful. Wifi is also available and worked well. The bathroom for our tent (Tea tree)was located in a seperate tent, and comprised of an eco non flush composting toilet, a hand basin, and a shower with a large round tub. Whilst nicely set up, the bathroom lacked any electricity, meaning if you wanted to use the toilet or take a shower at night, you needed to take a hand held lantern with you. This was not mentioned anywhere on the website or booking pages, nor by the hosts, and needs to be disclosed, as the tent accommodation is not suitable for anyone that would require assisted/safe access to functional facilities. Also, there was no electrical conduits or lighting available in our sleeping tent either. This was an inconvenience as had we known, we could have planned accordingly and brought power banks and charged up our laptops elsewhere. All up, it is a nice glamping experience, but there needs to be transparency around the services available so that one can decide if this accommodation is...
Read moreWe stayed at Numie in their Cocoon this June and absolutely loved it. The setting was cold and scenic, but between the hot tub on the deck and the fireplace inside, staying warm was never an issue—it actually made the whole experience feel extra cozy and special.
The vibe of the property is incredibly peaceful and serene. You’re surrounded by nature and wildlife, but still only about 20 minutes from Coles Bay, so you get the best of both worlds: total relaxation with easy access to activities and dining.
The interior design is stunning - earthy Japandi style with thoughtful, calming touches throughout. It feels both high-end and grounded. The bed was super comfortable, and the outdoor kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. We especially appreciated the little extras, like the marshmallows for the firepit - such a thoughtful touch!
The team at Numie were lovely—very warm, helpful, and full of great local recommendations. You can really tell they care about the...
Read moreEverything was well thought out..to the smallest details—inside and out. Only 3 sites so we were lucky. Weather was fantastic and waking up the cacophony of birds was just heavenly. Every thing is with sustainability in mind. I wish there was a way to turnoff the photovoltaic lights in the kitchen gazebo (could find the switch) which added to the light pollution and couldn’t fully enjoy the night sky (if there is a way to do so, perhaps instructions or a sign would be great). Super quiet, tucked away few hundred meters away from the main road so it’s easy to miss (just before the marine market if coming from Hobart). Congratulations to the owners for conceiving and putting together this...
