We stayed in the Boathouse and it was superb. Everything in the cabin was high-spec and it much better than we were expecting. The view from the deck across the water is lovely and it's a very short stroll down the track to the rock-beach looking toward Dover. The spa in the deck was the icing on the cake. Watching a sunset in the spa with a glass from the bottle of complementary champagne was something we'll never forget. Amenities, fixtures etc: excellent Location: excellent Quality of the building and the fitout: excellent Bed: excellent (very comfortable) Communication with Essentially Tas (the managers): excellent and very friendly

WOW! What a wonderful hideaway in the forest surrounded by amazing waterways and spectacular views. We had a fabulous 5 night stay and didn’t want to leave. The cosy fire and huge kitchen had everything we needed and more. We loved all the walks especially the one to Seal Rocks, spotting a few Pademelons along the way and heaps at night right outside. Went out to the Dover yacht club one night and when we came back we saw a wombat right near the house! Even saw an echidna crossing the road! Cant wait to return!

We recently stayed at the BoatHouse for our Honeymoon and it was perfect! On entering the house from the generous deck we found it beautifully furnished, a fully equipped kitchen, creative lighting, excellent air conditioning, an incredibly (huge and) comfortable bed, plenty of hanging and shelf space for clothes, luxurious heated floors in the bathroom, gorgeous views of the bush and bay, and delicious complimentary wine, choccies and other treats. The house was so private- you wouldn't see another soul for days if you so desired it! The hot tub on the deck was a real treat- the cool days would not bother us. We found ourselves spending many an evening sitting quietly in the tub, gazing out to the stunning bay of tranquil water, spotted with lights of Dover. The property had multiple interesting and easy bush walks on it, where we came across loads of wildlife and gorgeous natural scenes. There were only small towns near by which was perfect for us, but if you were hoping for busy streets and night life, its probably a bit too far from Hobart for you to enjoy that. I highly recommend this property for couples seeking a relaxing, private time...

We stayed for 2 nights last week and it was heartbreaking to leave! Every mod-con you could need, while still staying somewhere remote and connected to nature. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The kitchen was stunning, the views were spectacular and the spa was out of this world. We celebrated my birthday, and had a belated celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. From now on, I want every holiday there. If I could move in and stay, I would, the whole place was so beautifully thought out and well presented. Just watch out for the possum! I was standing on the verandah, while my husband was shining the torch on the LARGE group of pademolon's grazing nearby, when he wandered up and bit my toe. I think he's been hand fed a little too often, lol. If you're an artist, a creative, a nature lover or just in need of a good break from the hustle and bustle of life, I would recommend TPA as a must-have destination. I'm absolutely thrilled by the conservation work that they are doing for the local wildlife too. The ARC sounds like it's going to be amazing. Thank you for saving our wildlife for future...

We stayed 3 nights in The Boathouse. ||You are not going to run to anyone at this place, it is very secluded. Very much a place to stay inside and watch the weather outside, which generally was wet and windy (ideal). Inside was a fireplace to supplement the central heating and in floor heating in the bathroom. So despite it being very cold outside the place was always warm.||This place was an ideal size for a couple. The hot tub was great. The place is still quite new, except for the doors which are suffering from exposure to the weather.||We went on the bush walk around the property which was quite a hike, but worthwhile doing. Dover is small country town, so not much to do, just relax.||Really couldn’t recommend this place enough as somewhere just to get away...
