We recently spent two nights at Adjinbilly Rainforest Retreat in the Condamine Gorge, in the Ruby cabin. Both my partner and I had long been curious to see what lay within this magical part of our Scenic Rim. We were not disappointed. From the outset, Tony and Sue were very responsive when setting up the booking and made the whole process very easy, working with my partner to ensure our 10th anniversary would be very memorable. On the morning of our arrival, Tony called us to check we knew the road conditions and the best route to take. The many creek crossings of the Condamine River as you come through the Gorge piqued our excitement and set the scene for a beautiful romantic getaway. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Tony at the office and shown to Ruby, our little cabin that was perched atop the cascades. His attention to detail and service were first rate, providing very generous breakfast provisions of local meat, bacon, eggs, vine tomatoes, bread and butter. A quick tour of the cabin and pertinent explanations of its workings assured us it was very well equipped and everything had been thought of. Such a diverse abundance of wildlife: beautiful King parrots are your constant companion at the cabin, with visits from an exquisite Black Mountain Possum (we had never seen one of these before) and so many other amazing birds and critters. As we walked through rainforest tracks that abound on the property, there was a surprise at every turn. Magical garden settings, including at the cascades, and an incredibly well-equipped outdoor BBQ and communal fire pit with plenty of tables and chairs, provided great backdrops for our romantic anniversary dinner. The breakfast provisions turned out to be truly memorable as the meats and bacon were so flavoursome. The alternate power sources of hydro, gas and solar provided excellent hot showers, a luxurious bath, and the 12 volt lighting created a wonderful ambience at the cabin in the evening. We highly recommend this beautiful property. Such a unique experience. Thank you so much Tony and Sue.

An amazing get away where you can disconnect from technology, reconnect with nature and spend time relaxing and rejuvenating. The quaint cabins have all the essentials you need from a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a hot shower and lovely bedding plus a fireplace for those chilly nights and mornings. Definitely wise to take your cold weather clothes. Tony and Sue are wonderful hosts, very knowledgeable and happy to share. The rainforest surrounds make it very easy to relax and the visits from the local wildlife such as king parrots make for a beautiful experience. There are forest walks to trek and a creek to dip your feet in plus much more. Highly recommend visiting with family and friends.

What an absolutely stunning place! My partner stumbled across Adjinbilly sometime ago and we’ve just managed to make it out for a Valentine’s weekend away. An absolute gem away from the busy life on the Gold Coast. Cabin came well stocked with everything you’d possible need. You can tell that both Tony and Sue are passionate about the place. Will definitely be coming back for another weekend away

Highly recommend! We visited Adjinbilly Retreat for 2 magical nights of bliss with our children. The children absolutely loved sleeping in the loft. How exciting for them to go to bed via ladder and having the beautiful king parrots visit by starring through the glass In the morning. We loved the NO electronics (phone/internet) and the complete “get back to nature” and our forced and very welcomed relaxation. Tony and Sue made our stay very comfortable, informative and thoroughly enjoyable. From the fantastic platypus tour where we were all dazzled with the presence of numerous platypus in their natural environment, and then furthering our knowledge of platypus by watching a movie around the campfire. We loved the seclusion of feeling like we were the only ones on the property. The private hammocks over the creek were an absolute treat as were the various walking tracks through the rainforest. If you love birds, then bring the camera and binoculars. You’ll be rewarded. We can’t wait to visit again. The only negative for us is having to leave far too early. We could have easily have stayed a week. So much to do, so much to explore, and not...
