BE CAREFUL OF THE RATS. The campsites by the water are really beautiful and the weather now in June is just perfect. However, do be aware that rats are active in the area and can wreak havoc to your car engine bay, chewing up everything.

The bloke next to us when we pulled in kindly alerted us about this. He was supposed to stay longer but cut short his stay by 3 days because he realised just that morning before we arrived that they had gotten into his engine. I took a look and they took a nibble at EVERYTHING including a metal aircond pipe. Vicious creatures.

There's a sign about this on the front that should be bigger, methinks. I've left the hood open and an LED light on in the engine bay to deter the little buggers...

Wonderful campsite right on the lake. A great location in the middle of nature. Especially enjoying the sunset with lake view was a highlight. Toilets were clean. But amenities are sparsely equipped (no shower, no electricity, no light, no soap). You just have to know what to expect. But the location makes up for everything. Highly recommended.

Happy . Good amenities (bbq, tables and toilets), quiet surroundings, plenty of shade and birds. Number 9 is very large and shaded with pine forest aside, quite private, partial view of lake. Number 11 is quite large but sandwiched between other 2 sites, but great view of the lake. Great phone reception. 17 & 18 are the best by far as directly on the lake bank, however almost always...

Great camp spot over looking water. Sail boats on the water. Was a Friday night, no party goers, very quiet. Will definitely be back to this spot. Take a boat or kayak if you can. Top spot. Most camping sites back onto water and have there own fire place. No showers but lake water good to have a swim. Dam spillway not far away and worth a look
