Thank you Liz and Andy for creating a perfect place to reconnect and relax. It is easy to see that you have poured so much energy and thought into this experience. The immaculate and well designed chalets were difficult to leave while exploring the walks and enjoying the falls. The weather, sunshine or rain, could be equally enjoyed if you wanted read and relax, or hike and explore the many trails on the property. We will be back, soon.
For those who are reading this review to decide if this is the place to pick, here are few more points to consider. The journey to the property is an easy drive from Cairns. If required for a longer stay, there are ample groceries in Mossman on the way if you’re already left Cairns. The Daintree township is also just down the road from the property. Once you arrive at the property you have a chance to discuss how you would like enjoy your stay. Complete privacy and independent adventure if you choose, or a chance to interact with Andy to safely visit and enjoy spots on the property. For those who require connection to the world or a chance to catch up on a series binge the wi-fi is solid and the screen is ready to go. In fact, this would be the place to work remotely if you really wanted to be away from the current challenges. There are more points covered in other reviews and none are exaggerated from our experience. I’ll leave the rest for you...
Read moreI was shocked disturbed and appalled when attempting to visit the cassowary water fall the same one my mother had visited 30 years ago, to be refused entry as the property surrounding it is now private property and the only way to see it is to book it via online with a tour group in advance and pay get this !!! $130 DOLLARS to see a waterfall 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT I am seriously shocked and disgusted over what has become of one of queenslands most beautiful attractions you can not see it with out paying $130 dollars and $49 dollars for kids 🤣🤣🤣 great work guys keeping it a dollar under 50 for the kids you are real hero’s 🤣🤣. I strongly encourage no one to visit this place again until the unethical wealthy owners who are exploiting and gate keeping the waterfall reduce their prices drastically or make it free entirely or maybe even allow entry on arrival with a small fee no booking required. They have far to much power over this beautiful waterfall and I am so disappointed and dis-heartened to have been denied access because some pathetic elitist owners feel entitled to rip off hard working people who just want to admire the beauty of Australia with out paying ridiculous amounts of money to PATHETIC...
Read moreGateway to Cassowary Falls is an ideal haven for anyone who is keen for a superb Daintree rainforest experience which is restful, relaxing or restorative, or all of the above. The chalets on the property are designed and positioned to enable guests to be captivated by this spectacular location. ||Upon entering our chalet, we were immediately drawn to the French doors and out onto the deck to take in the vast skyskape, lush valleys, colourful gardens and beautiful butterflies. Misty mornings over the mountains and changing skies throughout the day were a delight to behold, and to photograph, from either our private deck or sheltered spa (awesome).||Inside the chalet, the vibe was luxury and comfort with gorgeous furnishings, quality linens, clever appliances and thoughtful touches throughout; and the tone was set by the soundtrack, perfect temperature control, lighting and classy décor. Everything was immaculately presented and meticulously maintained, inside and out, by Andy and Liz.||We also very much enjoyed being transported through ancient rainforests on Andy's waterfall tour as we were further immersed into this unique...
