The two nights spent here were the highlight of our Perth trip. Collecting eggs, feeding the sheep and just strolling through the farm and stroking the handsome horses were a great reprieve from city life and my 1 year old enjoyed himself too, it being his first time on a farm seeing all these animals. The place was cosy and the owners provided us firewood to make a fire for the fireplace to keep warm in winter. It could get cold in winter but the hot showers, heaters and electric blankets helped keep us cosy. Short driving distance from many attractions (Yahava Koffee, Margaret River chocolate) and essentials (Coles etc) also made it extremely easy for us to explore around and get what we need for dinner and the baby. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hands-on and restful vacation...

Had a most wonderful stay here 7-10th December 2024. The house was very clean, with sparkling clean kitchen and bathroom and comfortable beds in the three bedrooms. The hosts Corinne and Ron and daughters were super friendly and allowed my two teenager/young adult children to tag along with the horse feeding which was the highlight of the stay for my younger daughter. We had fun bonding with the farm animals especially Molly the goat, the dogs Ollie, Elsa and Luna, and the chickens ! Lovely stay ! Indefinitely recommend this Settler’s Rest Farmstay experience to any family who loves to have a short break from city living. The location is also unbeatable just a short drive from Perth City and we explored the swan valley attractions leisurely while...

What a great experience!! Our 3 year old and 1 year old had an absolutely amazing time. The owners of the farm Corinne & Ron both so friendly and welcoming to our family. Our girls felt so comfortable, like it was our own home.

The cottage was cute & had lots of interesting history up around the house. The beds were so comfortable. We are quiet fussy but we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed mattress's are!

We would highly recommend visiting the farm & staying. I wish we stayed longer.

Thank you so much to your family for welcoming ours. They went above & beyond to make us feel apart of their family & looked after....

Corinne, Ron and her family were extremely welcoming and friendly, making the stay very hospitable. I especially enjoyed their natural sense of humour; there were plenty of jokes (maybe warnings haha) about the two alpacas on the farm! The farm animals on the property were very eager during feeding time, and it was rewarding seeing them gobble up the chopped carrots and other vegetable scraps that we had bought for them. We enjoyed the feeding sessions, in addition to the impromptu rides in the buggy + tractor! Overall a highly recommended stay!
