Landhaus Fay B&B Bad Ischl — Hotel in Bad Ischl

We have just finished a trip across Switzerland and Austria finishing in the wonderful spa city of Bad Ischl again staying at Landhaus Fay. For us the location is ideal being just outside the city limits giving access to tracks across the fields and into the woods to explore, whilst still being with very easy reach of the city centre itself. We love the quietness of the area, so relaxing after the constant traffic of where we live.|The couple who run the guesthouse, Mark and Nicky do make one feel so welcome and have a wealth of knowledge of things to do and places to visit especially all the wonderful lakes even to recommending Altaussee, where one can have a refreshment at the hut in which Mr White was confronted by James Bond.|Bad Ischl is a glorious spa town, so elegant reminding me of Bath, but without the hoards of shoppers. The most wonderfull B&B/hotel we ever stayed in. The rooms were impeccably clean and really cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts (Marc & Nicky) are some of the most lovely people we've ever met. They welcomed us so friendly and warm. They have all the local knowledge (nice walking tours, good restaurants, avoiding traffic jams) and they always take the time to advice us. The breakfast is also very good: eggs, toasts, bread rolls, all sorts of meat and cheese, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, tea,... Every morning we talked and laughed with our hosts and the other guests. Enter as strangers, leave as friends is a sign in one of the rooms at Landhause Fay & this is so true! The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean & comfy with everything you may need, breakfast is excellent & most of all the hosts, Nicky & Mark, cannot do enough for you! I don’t ski but my husband does so this is a perfect location for me to get out & about with plenty to see & do & only a short drive for my husband to get to the slopes!
