The good: ||- the Familotel-Chain which owns this Hotel has seen to it, that a lot of space is available for children to play. The garden is very big, there is a sand playground which must be 100m3 large with a roof in the middle (!).||- Our larger kid found the trampoline brilliant (it has 6 different areas so many children can jump at the same time).||- the gaming room where the also do babysitting was well appreciated by our 1 year old and he spent most of the rainy day there without getting bore of climbing the castle (we didn't use the baby-sitting, so can't comment)||- the "Badesee", which is actually a large pond was very near and a nice place to lie in the sun and bath (although on the cold side).||- there are many attractions for kids in the region, I found the region very family-friendly (Tips: Amadé bathing-paradise in Altenmark, Geisterberg "ghost-mountain" in St Johann, further: St Wolfgang lake-area)||||The bad:||- we were given an apartment in a "partner accommodation", House Staiger, meaning: it was a block away from all playthings or the garden and we couldn't let the kids play alone for a minute or get our stuff from the room(forget your camera and you will swear about it).||- the apartment was not very new and for my taste not at all "family-friendly": the oven and all the cupboards are at floor level and cannot be securely closed (we spent all our time getting the kids to stop playing with pots and smashing pans around), the table cannot be accessed without climbing over the sofa (personally this was a big issue since I already have back pains from carrying the baby around), the bathroom is also the room with the shower, but no toilet, so in effect, having two bathrooms was not very useful, the was no diaper-changing table installed in the bathroom except for a temporary one on wheels, which we kicked out of the apartment on the second day, since we couldn't reach the bathtub with it in the way.||||Although we had bad luck with the weather, I might go back in this region, but I would be certain not to be given a "partner-accommodation" or choose a good hotel, there seem to be quite a few with good...
Read moreA very bad place to stay, I do not recommend it. No air conditioning and a lot of mosquitoes when you open the windows. When we left, the owner of the place threatened us because we did not throw away the trash, even though we paid approximately 160 euros for cleaning, and no one told us that there was a designated place far from the apartment. He shouted at us despite our respect for him and the place.
We were accused of breaking the dishwasher, but we did not break it. On the contrary, we bought the necessary tools for washing, such as soap and brushes, which they should have provided. The washing machine is basically very, very old, yet we did not do any damage to it. We are a group of young people who traveled around the world for 9 consecutive months. We tried many hotels and apartments. We are all peaceful people and do not seek harm for anyone. We respected the place and cleaned after use, but the owners of the place of residence did not respect us and shouted at us because we did not throw the garbage in the specified place. We just put it in bags, because we couldn't find where we should throw it, they claimed we had to ask.
At the time of receiving the rooms, the cleanliness was not as desired. There were insects in the room. There was a paid laundry service, but no ironing service
If there was an option to put 0 stars, I would...
Read moreThe hotel staff is very friendly and tries to help guests as much as they can. The staff does should improve at the check-in, they should give some general guidance of the place and the facilities. Giving an explanation page with the map and saying this is your cabin isn't enough. The hotel is located near a lovely lake with ducks and there are beautiful green lawns. The accommodation units are very outdated, the beds are uncomfortable and with sunken mattresses. Also, there is a lack of insect nets on the windows and the unit does not have enough lighting. Very outdated and worn design. Only the bathroom has been renovated. It is unlikely to close the trampolines at 18:00 or even at 14:00 on a Sunday, thus preventing children who have returned from a tiring day of travel to rest and relax at the resort while the parents prepare dinner. It is evident that there is a lack of facilities for middle-aged children. In the evening/night the place is almost completely darkened. In my opinion although it's summer time and vacation season (August) the price was too high for what...
