Hello|||I stayed here with my family for 12 days.||My stay is all and above our expectations. We did a lot of holidays in Austrian Tyrol area over the years and this is one of the most perfect holidays we ever had in the mountaines without being a fancy and expensive holiday||Taking into consideration that turnover of people at dinner time and the turnover in the parking, this is not one of those hotels dedicated for long stays. It is mainly used for short stays||Hotel is nice, clean, modern, simple, the hotel is not a standard traditional hotel. The room we had was big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, simple modern furniture but cannot say that i missed something in this room. The TV is huge enough for the room, good quality TV, you have all the channels you might need if you have enough patience to look for them.||Food: we had halfboard. Breakfast if rich enough for everybody no matter you eat a little or too much. As in every hotel, it repeats every morning. Dinner, you have 5 courses including a salad buffet , main course you chose it from a list. The food quantity is fair. If you need more food, with no extra cost you can ask in the morning a larger portion that will be good for any strong eater as myself. If you do not like some part of the list you can order also from the kids list. Now, the very nice surprise is the quality of the food. During our stay we had also some plates with a different taste than the usual one but EVERYTHING was nice and tasty. We really liked it. The waiter that served us during our full stay was very very nice, we all really liked him.||Staff: usually this is the part where the debate starts. Except one person with which i had a nasty discussion (the maintenance guy, i will tell you about this later), all staff is very very very very nice (if you read my other reviews you will understand that i never give so good reviews). No matter what is your request / need or problem they will do all they can do to help you and find a solution with a real smile in full empathy with you||My problem with the maintenance guy, old and with no hair on his head. He was not not happy that i parked myself in an area that he was saying that is for staff only (no mark at all). I told him that i know (he told me before) and i only want to put my bags in the car. He did not understand any word in english and obviously he was very angry with me not being able to communicate with me. He even changed voice becoming more agressive but no communication was possible with him between my english and his german . I could switch at any moment to spanish or french and he could not follow. Maybe lucky me that i cannot understand german and i did not understand what he was shouting now to me because the discussion would not end so fast. ||Note to Management of the hotel: this guy can destroy all your hard and wonderful work because he cannot communicate at all. I suggest either pay him a foreign language course or do not allow him to talk to strangers. Really, it left me a nasty feeling. Of course, i moved the car without putting my stuff in it as i wanted.||Foreign languages: besides the lady in reception and her husband (i believe they are the bosses/owners) that they speak very good english, all others speak average english||Suggestions to the hotel:|- i never saw a fire extinguisher on the floor i was, why?|- suggest to change layout at breakfast, do not put salamy/cheese in block, try to put the slices one near another, this will take more space but will reduce consumption of food as you will be able to take only the number of slices you need/want||We will come back to this hotel with our eyes closed, we...
Read moreMe and my son spent two nights in Hotel Lampenhäusl during our recent ski trip in Salzburg Land. We have been very positively surprised by this three star hotel. Hotel is situated almost in the centre of Fusch an der Glocknerstraße right next to main road (Großglockner Hochalpenstraße). We stayed in double room on 1st floor that was spacious enough, clean and convenient and the price per night was really reasonable. Perhaps the small problem was the heat during the night inside the room due to not properly working heating / cooling system and a bit hard pillow to which I am not used to. On the other hand wi-fi worked properly in entire facility (i.e. room, restaurant etc.), service was great (desk clerk, staff in the restaurant…), breakfast with substantial variety of meals was satisfactory as well and dinner from à la carte menu was good and tasty. We used the opportunity to store our ski boots in internal ski depot as well as we tried the facilities in dayroom. Unfortunately we had no chance to try sauna and relax area due to...
Read moreDue to bad weather we couldn't ride the mountain pass so my wife and i saw a camping sign as we passed this hotel. We pulled in on my motorcycle and I approached the reception looking for directions but it turned out the hotel did have a small camping area! The receptionist was more than helpful and we soon pitched our tent and made use of the very nice facilities....hot showers much appreciated as it was chilly and wet. Next day the weather was terrible. For warmth and some comfort we were welcomed to relax in the hotel reception and offered to help our self to a mini library of books. After chatting to the receptionist for a while she offered us use of the sauna and spa....and got us towels. We felt so well looked after bearing in mind we were camping on the cheap. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food and service was great. ||I've been meaning to write this review for ages. Our trip was last summer and I can't recommend this...
