It seems that there has been a generational change in management during the Covid-pandemic, and the new host quite obviously has problems with non-Europeans. I am therefore sorry to say that this place can no longer be recommended. We have earlier had good experiences riding horses here, but this was the first time we came to spend the night.||||While we had given clear notice that we were coming for the horseback riding, there was little to no interest in making that possible when we came. The hosts attitude was that of arrogance and indifference, and we felt as if we were intruding somewhere we were not wanted. ||||The next day, the mere minimum was done for me to lead my seven-year-old around on a huge horse, sitting in a saddle for grown-ups without any adjustments to the stirrups and without any reigns to hold on to. The horse was so strong and stubborn, that the walk was cut short. My wife was told that she would have to wait until two in the afternoon to go riding. When the little group was getting ready, the others were treated nicely, while my wife was merely given short instructions. It is difficult to find any other reason for this than that my wife is Asian while the others were Austrians. As they rode off and into the woods, her horse got a bit unruly. Instead of helping, the owner (and guide) scolded her for not being able to control it properly. She quite quickly decided this was not worth it and returned to the farm.||||I am not one to throw the “racism” term around lightly, but I do not see any other way to describe what took place. We will...
Read moreWe just stayed at this place and left very disappointed how the service has gone downhill, since the daughter of the owner and her arrogant husband took over the place. The horse tour organiser Stefan doesn't treat the guests equal, not answering the questions, which made a horse riding horse very unpleasant taking the horse through a muddy place not fitting to either horses or the riders (which made me cut it short). As for the house, it is located in the middle of nowhere, cafe/restaurant nearby is closed, which is very impractical coupled with unwillingness of the new family to provide any service to the guests (bathrooms closed, one needs to wait for any question to be answered). Maybe they should just take care of their small kids and let others run the place ? Well, anyway we left the place with sour feeling and decision to never go back. Look for other options in the area! Do not waste money for the stay...
Read moreThe hosts are such an amazing couple! Horses, dogs, three lovely kitties, goats, rabbits, the farm is an island of paradise in the middle of the nature paradise itself! Before coming here I didn't expect an elevation the terrain has and it was a great surprise! You don't need to go to Alps, it's beautiful here already! Well developed cycling routes, several beautiful waterfalls nearby. Definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for truly countryside retreat with no big towns around. Would love to stay longer. But be aware that groceries, pharmacies, etc, don't work on Sundays, so plan to restock before...
