65 Years ago our parents took us to Maria Schutz. My sister in Holland and me in Canada decided it was time for us to go back before we got too old. We had a fabulous experience in Maria Schutz and stayed at their hotel, that is where we stayed 65 years ago. The owners, Margit and Helmut were very welcoming. The staff were great, Yvonne, Max, Stephan and Manuela. They are in the process of renovating the old Kur Hotel and we had one of the new rooms. The room was almost as big as a ballroom and the food was very good. We can recommend their busy patio where we had our own table and met some great people. I don't know if we will be able to go back because of our age, but we can certainly recommend this...

Drei Sterne nur, weil ich gutmütig bin!!! Zu aller Erst einmal das Positive - die Riesenkrapfen sind gut - und das wars dann auch schon wieder - leider. Ich war im Oktober da - es wirkt etwas abge... also nett formuliert - das Lokal hat sicher mal bessere Zeiten erlebt. Zudem scheint die Lüftung nicht in Ordnung zu sein, denn es "riecht" grausam nach Fett und Küche... - die Bedienung entspricht dem allen - lässt viele Wünsche offen. Ich meine, ein Glas kann man auch OHNE etwas zu verschütten servieren... hier eher nicht. Torte ohne Schlagobers geht auch nicht... und so ging es weiter... dazu kommt: die Preise sind überteuert! Selbst im Hinblick auf den Wallfahrtsort - In diesem Lokal stimmt weder das Ambiente -"alte" Möbelage, keine Tischtücher (zumindest im vorderen Bereich), eine leicht heruntergekommene Kinderecke, noch die Bedienung - diese ist leicht überfordert (bei eher wenig Gästen!) und wie gesagt, kleckert beim Servieren... selbst die Beleuchtung wirkt "fahl"... einzig der Geruch bleibt gut in der Kleidung haften! (Ich musste zu Hause alles in die Waschmaschine geben!!! - und ich bin nicht besonders "heikel"!) Alles in Allem: nicht wirklich zu empfehelen - schade für...

We came for the Krapfen which was a highlight of our trips past this area, stopped for food and a drink, asked for an apple juice ( small) 1/4 liter ended up with 1/2 a liter! ( much more expensive) and a salad, the salad was good, the service was Okay. But made sure we got charged a high price, so my advice, be careful what you get! Looking to make...
